I think the pitch invasion was just a joyous release from a few City fans, mainly young 'uns.

I watched them, and enjoyed seeing the stewards fail to catch even the fat kids that couldn't run.

It stands to reason that a percentage of those would support CTWD.

    Obvs.

    The pitch invasion

Fact is it was part planned by some.

The huge flag was brought out about 5 mins from the end of the game by a small group of younger fans in e2.

They had planned to go on the pitch or they would have not gone to get the huge flag just before the end.

There was also a chant of we're going on the pitch from them and others around them.

NO IDEA IF the flag carriers are CTWD members or not.
There was deffo a pre arranged plan.

BUT THE VAST MAJORITY who ran on the pitch had nothing to do with CTWD.
    Or any plans.

Young boys n girls with parents in the main.._many from the south stand ..
Also fans who don't usually go .

Very true. But won't be accepted by people who think it was a CTWD plot to stop them applauding the team.
Pitch invasions! How awful! Everyone should remain seated at all times unless they are walking out 10 minutes early no matter what the score is.

it was an embarrassment, cringe worthy and i think most people will have had enough of them now.

The embarrassment yesterday was the empty seats.

It didn't take anything away from the occasion in my opinion.

Also CTWD have a right to express there views also IMO.

The stewards saw the flag come in...

To there credit they didn't try to stop it .

Planned by CTWD. or not its not important..again IMO.

    Good and accepted.

I was just mighty pissed off that instead of being able to applaud the players off the pitch for creating a but of history, I had to watch an on pitch demonstration and scuffles around the tunnel area.

I'm fully anti name change, as it's wholly unnecessary, but this **** spoiled the moment.

    You're missing the point.

The name change was mentioned at the 19th minute by commentators and all the singing was loud and clear.

But instead of clapping the players and celebrating it seems some of our "best" fans would rather sing a protest song in the middle of a pitch with a message to the owner who helped bring all this together.

I guess some have different priorities but I won't let any of the hypocritical ****s from CTWD tell me I'm not a real supporter . It's CTWD who have brought the politics onto the field not AA.

It really baffles me that you can have anything in your head other than joy and tribulation after yesterday's final whistle, let alone feel the need to have a go at the one who enabled the success.

    ======

    I am NOT in CTWD.

But in my opinion the have the right to demonstrate .

How did the flag on the pitch spoil a brilliant day ?

    Did it hell as like....

Seems. It wasn't an official thing

But done by members of the ctwd group.

Also the vast majority on the pitch were kids with parents...

And those along for the cup ride who don't go to league games...

For the hard of ****ing thinking, CTWD did not organise any demonstration after the game yesterday.

I hope that clears that one up.

The players would be happier with the enthusiasm of people coming on the pitch than seeing "fans" walking out before the end and turning round to see swathes of empty seats.
And, only some of those on the pitch were CTWD folk. Pitch invasions go on all over the place. As usual we seem to have more delicate fans getting a tizz over these things.

Hold people accountable for their own actions , call out the individuals who went on the pitch , no need to make it a conspiracy theory about CTWD

ALL of the CTWD group have said the bit of singing and celebrating that you try to describe as a protest wasn't anything to do with them. <doh>

This... Especially at £20 a ticket. Sat in the west stand for a change, kept thinking I was at a funeral not a football match. Singing? nope, cheering? not a lot. Nervous mumbles mostly. A quarter stadium of sunderland fans outsang us most of the game. North east side were about the loudest then filtering around like a mexican wave until it woke up the wrinkles in the West :p

This, time to celebrate going to Wembley and they are out on the pitch protesting, may have only been a small minority of people doing it, but using a joyous occasion for your own political ends, bad show.

Congratulations for making it to Wembley, don't look past Sheff Utd though, can imagine that they will bring more fans for that one.

We'll get the same allocation and we'll both sell-out, so we'll have the same amount of fans.
