I think they need to put a roof on the SoL. It was bastard freezing at the game and I'm sure it puts a lot of casual supporters off going!
IT's normal nowadays - Newcastle United 3 - Plymouth Argyle 0 FA Cup Third Round replay St James Park Attendance: 15,805 Referee: Andy D'Urso
It's a valid point, but that was a 3rd round replay on a freezing cold Wednesday night whilst we were in the CCC, and Plymouth brought 300. Cup attendances are always down, we managed 30k+ against Blackburn with only 500 Blackburn fans there. Your attendance was poor, and the majority would have just watched it on the TV because they couldn't be arsed.
The Mags had a similar attendance when they were stuffed in the F.a Cup by Birmingham City, 5-0 I think it was. I remember the attendance was about 18,000 because the game was on BBC1 so it's nothing new.
5 home games in 4 weeks says it all people just can't afford it.Not many teams would get a big crowd if they had played that many home games in 4 weeks
