Let me help you out Josh. We do not claim to be "massive". We know our place in the football world where as you guys are still to come to terms with where you "really" are ;)

A little perspective for you, since we both fell out of the PL Leeds have spent more time in L2 than us and Leeds have spent more time in L1 than us. Face facts, you have spent more time outside of the PL than any other club that has been relegated from it and bounced back :emoticon-0110-tongu

I wondered when the mighty Leeds would pounce on this thread, as a massive club you would expect them to be topping the Championship attendance averages, well wrong on that one, having not seen the averages this year i wouldnt mind betting that we are about the same as Leeds and Leeds probably have 5 times the population of Cardiff, although alot of our support comes from outside of the City. The other little monkeys who are not bragging about how massive a club they are, are of course, Little Birmingham City, their support at the moment is paltry, although they do turn out for the european nights, oh well onwards and upwards and i expect we will have 24k+ for saturdays game against the Trees, i will say i do look forward to the visit of Leeds, just to see the disappointment on their faces after we have beaten them AGAIN, cant say the same for the Brum fans as they usually get a result against us. But i will say the two most arrogant teams in the Championship are the above mentioned, Leeds and Brum, but looking at the big picture are they really that big anymore ?

Yes, it's just that thousands of our fans aren't at Elland Road at the moment because of Bates. The same reason about 10 of your fans turned up the other week, to put it bluntly. Not that prices and restrictions deter us from filling your stadium for you every time we need to.

    :)

And of course we're still a massive club. We have millions of fans round the world and 900k plus in the UK. Biggest away attendances in the country. I could go on, but we both know I don't need to. Glad to see Cardiff marginally have more fans than the scum anyway. <ok>

To be honest, these 'surveys' are all bollox.
Too many variables to predict it accurately (biggest ground, biggest catchment area, eggos, Max Boyce etc)
If the BBC had run this and not HTV, no doubt Cardiff would have a higher percentage than Swansea <doh>

SCFC home average so far this season is 19767 (based on first 6 games)... highest attendance = 20341 (WBA)
CCFC home average so far this season is 21959 (based on first 6 games)... highest attendance = 23013 (Brighton)

I didn't include any Carling Cup home attendances because I couldn't find any for Swansea <whistle>

Only thing thats relevant is Swans are in Prem and we aren't <wah>

Leeds and Norwich might have bigger numbers. I haven't looked but I'd imagine Norwich's numbers would be bigger because of the extra digit <laugh>
    (sorry Thai, couldn't resist <ok>)

I think they're talking about fanbase in total rather than average home attendance, H Bomb. And rightly so.

I have a fantastic sense of humour, and my first reaction was to find this humerous. Then I thought what brings this out in people, I guess they are all around us.......sad!

    fair point.
I don't doubt the fact either club has a bigger fan base than the attendance figures portray... which, to me, just confirms my initial thought about these "surveys".

The one major relevant factor you've convienetly forgotton is that your ground holds more than ours

"Too many variables to predict it accurately (biggest ground, biggest catchment area, eggos, Max Boyce etc)"

The one major relevent factor you've conveniently forgotten is that you're playing Premier League sides and we're in the Championship.

You should be turning supporters away in droves every game given who you're playing.

We need a bigger stadium, because we are based in a bigger city with a bigger cachement area, not rocket science, we got bigger average crowds than you in the championship, and when both clubs were wallowing in the lower leagues our average crowds were bigger than yours,,,,,,,,,,,,if we were in the PL our average crowds would be bigger than yours............stadium size shouldn't come into it, if both clubs had 50,000 seater stadiums...........it's very unlikely that either club would fill them (although Cardiff have had 50,000+ crowds)...........face it if we had large stadiums (50,000) more people would turn up to watch Cardiff than Swansea..........you are currently the most successful team in Wales, but by an accident of geography we are the biggest,,,,,,,,,enjoy your time in the limelight, you are doing well, but don't pretend you are the "biggest team in Wales"...........highest placed, and currently the most successful no arguement...............but not the biggest

Not a dig mate...........but Cardiff is almost three times the size of Norwich.................which makes your support awesome...........still it's easy to get fans when the alternative is dipswitch ;)

If you want to quote this seasons attendance figures than look again, percentage wise we've reached near full capacity where as how many short have you been of filling your place .(if away clubs can't sell their allocation thats their prerogative we're full house for the home support) unless I'm wrong I believe your attendances have dropped this year
and yes there are too many variables such as if my granny had balls etc
and one more thing try not to appear condesending, it may be taken the wrong way

So, for arguments sake, if Newport County filled their 5,058 capacity (100%) every game, would that make them the best supported team in Wales?
Drop the capacity of the CCS to that of the Liberty and (purely going on bums on seats) we're over 100%... (that would be a BBC variable :))

The only way it would/could be proved is if we had exactly the same capacities, playing in the same league (IMO) and until/if that ever happens this could go on forever. The percentage game just backs up my opinion of the survey system....which was my original point.

I took your attendance figures from your official site so I assume they're correct?
btw, not being condescending...just pointing out the relevant factor I'd "conveniently forgotten" that you overlooked to make your point.
