    Not necessarily.

If West Ham win tonight there will be loads of pressure on them to beat City, and they may have to beat us by several goals too.

For a promotion chasing team they have been pretty poor at home and this type of pressure will be hard for them to deal with.

    Best scenario:
    Tonight
    Leicester 0 West Ham 1

    Saturday
    Soton 0 Cov 1
    West Ham 2 City 3
(West Ham push for a last minute winner to win promotion, City break and score to win)

Nice way to avenge their hit & run at the KC!

Surely we need to finish as low down the table as possible?

If we finish just outside the play offs, some of our fans will be unbearable, demanding a year on year improvement means only play offs or higher would do for them. ...shudder...

West Ham winning tonight has got to make life more fun for us?

West Ham 6-0 win for me. Can't see why anyone (especially people who are travelling down) would want the game to be meaningless. More fun all-round if the game carries some importance. We can prevent the Hammers from going up and even if we lose it would be more interesting. There's not a fat lot of difference wether we finish 7th or 8th for me. Saints will go up anyway, regardless of West Ham's results. The argument that West Ham will play a weaker side is bollocks as far as I'm concerned. But even if it was true it would be a bad thing. I don't want to travel 3 hours to watch us play a **** team! I've got all pre-season to do that.

There is a massive spread in todays Metro advertising the game - apparently they are giving priority to play off tickets to anyone who comes to our one, I think they are bricking it. However they 'say' there are only 1500 tickets left, so Im hoping some of us show up or we'll be well out sung! The funniest bit is West Ham already organised two buses and a victory parade 'for when they win the league' at the start of the season - which makes me want to win even more!

Did you go to Bristol last season? Some of the players last season had inflated lilos on their backs - and that game didn't mean alot did it? Hmmmmmm? Or maybe it did to all but the poor battle weary players. Call me a cynic, but I reckon most of City's team are already packed for Summer, and if West Ham need to win 20 - 0 on Saturday, they will!

I agree with the tickler a draw tonight would be the best result for City because A) It means we can't drop lower than eigth. B) We will have a chance of winning a game on Saturday we would otherwise be strong favourites to lose.
No one (including most of our transfer targets) will remember anything about us from this season apart from the position we finish and missing the play-offs by one place sounds a lot better than finishing eigth or ninth.

I like your style and Would Just love your scenario to happen but i doubt it will. I much prefer a fun and relaxing afternoon with the game being meaningless to the Hammers.

In all honesty guys, none of this is going to make a ****ing difference to us is it!?

We're not making the playoffs... To a likely spoilt rotten money grabbing potential player looking for a pay cheque, whether we finish 7th or 14th isn't going to make much difference in a league this tight.

Though I will say that we always seem to lose on TV these days and if West Ham draw tonight then we're likely to finish higher for that extra prize money. They might not field a reserve team exactly but they'll have nothing to play for other than avoiding injuries.

I'll second that, there are a few dissenters inthe Leicester camp though, and it would be funny as **** if he was sacked at the end of the season.

i d laugh if Jimmy Bullard found out that his bank account had been hacked by a Nigerian cartel and his houses were flattened by hurricane to find his insurance was void due to force megur, but neither of those are gonna happen either

Very strong Leicester City team named by NP. Even 4 of his subs are forwards(one is Waghorn) with SSL making up the bench. No GK sub. NP is going for it. Here we go then.
