Interesting to see people rate Rooney less because he has a temper. Bergkamp was a supremely talented footballer (and if he was still playing probably would make the top ten) but liked a good stamp from time to time. A lot of gifted footballers/people seem to have flaws.
Not sure Rooney is 'world class' yet, but on his day (like a lot of players) he can be. A couple of seasons ago, after Ronaldo left, most people would have said Rooney is world class because of the season he had. Consistancy is the key.
Supprised not many shouts for Neymar

The argument was that you were doubting aguero's class for not taking his team futher in the champs league and playing in a mid table spanish team, well seeing as you already compared their goal records, and lets not forget that aguero offers alot more than goals, then this argument isnt really needed anymore.

Secondly on the other thread, i happen to think the opposite, you just kept saying the same stupid thing over and over again hoping it would make you look intelligent ( it didnt ).

And its not an agenda i just happen to think you took alot of ****.

And well you did say " can David silva hit a 40-50 yard ball on a six pence ", thats obviously claiming that rooney can, and it also sounds like your bigging up to mean He'd do it 9/10 times, he doesnt.

And i agree rooney is top 5, i dont agree he can play as good as silva can in silva's postion, again i just think you took total **** 9 times out of 10 and you hope swearing covers up for it.

Rooney is a very good player, but he's got too many flaws to be put in the world class bracket.

They still haven't told us the talents that Rooney posessesses that put him in the top bracket. We've pointed out his weaknesses. They cannot counteract it.

In other words, a 10 a penny footballer. There is loads like him, ie Dirk Kuyt, Kevin Davies, Bobby Zamora.

There is no doubt Wayne Rooney has ability, but as a co,plete professional footballer season in season out he is average overall with bursts of good form and loads of dross form.

Sure he go the PFA award over Drogba when Drogba scored more and half of Rooneys were penalties, a lot of people beiieve in the Rooney hype

The goal against City still has all the mancs all wet, so they beieve this is the norm for wayne... <ok>

I am not doubting Aguero's class I know he's a top top player but to be considered world class I think you need to perform consistantly at the highest level. I know that wasn't his fault because he was at a mid table club but now he is at a club who will be challenging for trophies, it will be interesting to see if he can keep his impressive form up when the going gets tough.

Regarding the agenda, it is. You have replied to me on 5 different threads now. It is becoming an obsession but I take it as a compliment because you and I both know I have made you look like an idiot countless times.

Just face Rooney has more to his game than Silva does and although he might not perform as good as Silva can in the hole at least he can be effective there. I don't think if Silva was thrown in at the deep end as an out and out striker on his own he would be able to cope very well.

Not in the top 20? Absolute bollocks. Yet another Liverpool fan (surprise) that believes Rooney is ****.

Funny that it's only Liverpool fans isn't it.

And they all believe Suarez is better...how many of you would have said that a year ago??

Do you think United would be weaker without Rooney? Do you agree that Rooney makes United tick? Do you agree Rooney has been, alongside Ronaldo and Vidic, the most important part of United's success at home and in Europe in the past 5 years?

I don't think Man United would be weaker without Rooney. I reckon they would in fact be stronger. Hernandez and Berbatov would make a decent partnership. I know Berbatov is a lazy bastard that can't run, but his hold up play is excellent, and he would need Hernandez to do the running for him. Man Uniteds strength is in the wide areas, so that makes it even easier.

And Wayne has? Erm... fergie having to treat him like a brat and give him a bollocking in front of the world. Yeah, class. World cup.. oh dear. Premierleague, oh dear. What is it exactly that makes Rooney world class again? He's a street footballetr with good abilities but a terrible mentality that screws it all up time and time again, fairly inconsistent season by season where others, even like Downing consistently perform all year round every year, there is just no hype around someone like Downing. I would still put Giggs ahead of Wayne, never mind all others

They still haven't identified what seperates Rooney from many players. There is a reason for that...there isn't anything. I can name a number of things that seperates Suarez from many players and I'm not suggesting that Suarez is world class, he unlike Rooney has the potential to be world class.
Suarez unlike Rooney is not just a forward, all good play goes through him, his close control is as good as anyones, he's cheeky as hell in that he will not only attempt anything, he will pull it off.
He's got unbelievable balance, behind Messi in that regard.
    MUFCOK.
You didn't answer my question, what distinguishes Rooney from the rest of the premiership and puts him on such a pedestal. Sorry, I can't think of anything.

I'm pretty sure he did when he said Man Utd would have been better off without him.

Why are you talking about class as in his demeanour? I am talking about football ability you clown. Everybody knows Rooney is a ****er but we are talking about Rooney on the pitch. The World Cup was the whole side, not just Rooney, are you going to define Gerrard's career from every **** international tournament he has had?

Show me stats that he is inconsistant every season 80 odd goals in 170 odd games in the past 4 seasons is fairly decent in anyones book. Downing on the other hand has only become consistant last season. He is 27 years old has 25 assists in the past 4 years. Compare that to Rooney who has a measly 55 assists in 4 seasons.

    Fairly consistant no?

Again. Talking bollocks just because your hatred is clouding your poor judgement.
