Nah. None of those can match Rooney in terms of his all round play. From an inside forward in 2008 to a lone forward in 2010. Then a classic number 10 role in 2011, Rooney is like i said as close as it gets to the perfect forward.

This proves it beyond doubt in my opinion:

KPR is the only person to ever rate a player based on their ability to "take the piss" out of players, rather than on goals, assists, passing, work rate or anything else

Anyway, on the actual topic, I reckon it would have to be Vidic or Casillas. No other player is as consistent or as effective in their respective positions as those two imo. Xavi and Iniesta are the best midfielders in the world, and Ronaldo and Messi are the best forwards. So it stands to reason that the best keeper and defender should be up there right after them.
