I wouldn't say Rooney is consistent. But on his day, world class <ok>

When we talk about consistency then people like Suarez deserve a mention. Since coming to the EPL he has set it on fire, MOTM performances every game. Then add the Copa America to it, wins the tournament and wins player of the tournament (ahead of Messi, Tevez etc etc). Comes back and starts off on fire again. Such things make him one of the hottest properties in world football right now.

I agree he has to prove it. That's what I'm saying; Fabregas will prove himself now he has the same advantages.

The basis on which players are deemed to be world class is based on the individual not the team. So tell us, what talent does Rooney possess that makes him world class.
Messi is world class because he has second to none balance, and has the best close control in world football.
Ronaldo is world class because he has raw power along with two very good feet.
This is what I'm refering to.
Robin Van Persie is a good example, I always thought he would be the nearest thing to Bergkamp, similar playing style, but he can't stay fit. If he could stay fit, he does possess natural talent that seperates him from most.

Look matey, I hoped for 2 years every tme he was on hte pitch that he was going to do the stuff, but he didn't, he had a year to get over the injury stuff but the sulking and all that well.. I think it is a little more than leaving the club, and we are definately better without him and Suarez in, as with this Wayne debate, it is about end result, and Suarez is giving us what Torres wasn't, regardless of hype. 1 good season doesn't make a world class player for ever just as one overhead doesn't make Rooney same. Rooney is playing well right now, but you are getting way ahead of yourself, Vidic contributed far more to league wins over all compared to Wayne. He scores a lot of penalties tho and gets plenty of goals in games already won, last season was down to being rock solid at home defensively. Not down to waynes thats for sure

Motm performances every game, yes deffinately not an overstateman. Are you trying to tell me that either messi or tevez played well in general? Or even that the big teams in south america performed well? Just the fact that teams like peru got to the semis, while paraguay and uruguay got to the finals says something for how brazil and argentina performed, to ignore that is simply foolish, and i'd highly say he has set things on fire in the EPL this season, Much easier to say rooney and dzeko and aguero and silva and i could probably go on have performed better.

But of course you must be right

They still haven't mentioned that one thing that Rooney possesses that makes him world class. There isn't one, thats why they can't mention it. The fact is Rooney is a very good premierhsip footballer, but is by no means world class.

Well i think i pretty much summed it up if your scroll up, but your going to ignore it or just say that non of that makes you world class cause its easier, no matter what we type your not going to change your mind cause your a fool, its true what hes saying you cant see past your hatred for rooney and united in general to give any type of recoginistion.

And thats why your opinion wont really ever matter in your life.

Its okay, but your opinion is incrediably biased, how is rooney not consistent? To be fair last year was his worst ever season in a united shirt and he still managed to finish it with a bang score 12 or so goals in the EPL and about 13 assists, but yes hes clearly not consistent.

And i just dislike how liverpool fans always have to think they have one of the best players in the world when they clearly dont. Suarez is good sure, but hes definately not in the top 5 in the world and in my opinion not in the top 10, of course you dont have to agree with me. But eh.

And i know saying "But of course you must be right" must have made me look a bit like a dick, and for that i apologize lolz.

Lets face it agreements on topics like this are never going to be straight forward on a football forum! My opinion is that 'Suarez is one of the hottest properties in world football right now'. Time will tell if he will become a 'great', but in my opinion so far so good <ok>

    Apology accepted <ok>
I often say similar things so it's all good mate.

And thanks for accepting haha :)

One overhead kick? Why do you continually talk bollocks. I have given you evidence that Rooney is as consistant as the best players in this league. What more do you want?

Rooney has better heading ability than Suarez so by your logic must be better. Also he has a better range of passing

Did you see Suarez's pass against Bolton for Hendersons goal? I think you'll be hard pushed to find a better pass all season <ok>

Yeah that's a great pass - I think it's safe to say they both have a top class passing range <ok>

The funny thing is I will admit that Suarez is one of the hottest properties in the world right now but until he has done it for a top class team at the top for a consistant level he will not be known as world class. Was Matt Le Tissier world class? He was a great player and had he showcased his skills on the highest level he may well have been but for me because he was seemingly afraid to make that step up he shouldn't ever be known as world class.

Don't be daft. Matthew Le Tissier was an extraordinary player. Pele never played in Europe.
Le Tissier was World Class. However, because he was loyal and humble, you deem him not to be.
