Me too Battersea - I'd prefer to remember his wonder save at home to Tranmere that season - I think it was from Chris Dagnall. Bloody amazing save that.
I remember standing at the River End watching Mick Channon mastermind a comeback to bring us all square against a Man Utd team that had Robson and Wilkins in midfield to finish 3-3 from City being 3-0 down. On that day a loan player came on (Mike Pickering of Southampton) when we were pushing forward - his entire Norwich career lasted twelve minutes. Thus is this the most illustrious loan career of anyone who has played for us?
David Nielsen? Yeah he was rubbish when he signed permanently, but he scored five in five games when he was on loan
Bobby Bell. Ex Ipshite. Played 4 games on loan when Dunc was injured during the promotion run in in 71/72. Don't think we lost while he played.
Bentley was decent in our last PL appearance. Prob go for Hucks then Naughton though. What about Kane and De Laet?!?
Maceo Rigters. His career seems to have fallen off a cliff given the hype surrounding him when we signed him
wasn't totally his fault, all the defence had retreated with their backs to him so could not respond to the incident. that taught them to retreat with their eyes on the ball.
