Having had a couple of days to think about (& re-watch numerous times) Celina’s goal on Sunday, I’m wondering where it ranks on best goals seen at Portman road. The other goals I can remember are Taricco running from inside his own 1/2 and hitting 1 in off the underside of the bar and Leighton Baines (for Wigan) hitting a 30-35 yarder right into the top corner. There have been great moments so as Jim’s hat trick goal against Bolton but want to set aside importance of the goal and just focus on the goal itself. Anyone got any other great goals they remember?

In terms of individual brilliance it has to go down as one of the best, if not the best but there are others which involved better team play.

One which sticks out is Finidi George against Sunderland who also lobbed the keeper but not quite as exquisite a finish as Celina as the GK was way of his line but a better team move.

I also liked really liked the Alan Quinn goal vs our feathered friends the last time we beat them but that rarely gets spoken about. Seeing Pablo and Gio on the same wavelength that day was something to behold and this goal reflected that, great passing and movement.

Maybe a bit to do with the occassion as well but Alun Armstrongs header against Inter Milan, what a header that was.

Baines is definitely the best opposition goal I've seen. Never known the Town fans to just be silent after an opposition goal, absolutely nothing could be done about it, to be fair alot of people clapped it

Some great shouts here - the Baines rocket is one of the first that came to mind.

I'd nominate Wickham's solo goal against Sheffield United ten odd years ago. Took the ball in our own half and waltzed past a couple of Sheffield United defenders before applying a composed finish.
