The 3 is for the one (out of three) penalty decisions he got right, and that he (eventually) booked Fellani. Probably too generous to be fair. Dean is a serial ****.
Also Smalling should have been off for the 2nd yellow he didn't get. Tactical foul just wrestling mitro down. I guess the ref was thinking such a good game I don't want ot send anyone off and it was 90'' at 2-3.
Agree with the ratings bar Sissoko (a solid 7) and Mbemba (5.5/6) - he gave away the pen and was caught out of position, way way way up the pitch, for the second goal (which came down his side). Didn't bust a gut to get back either Janmaat sprant from 20-30 yards further forward and got back into the position he should have been. May have been a similar thing for the 3rd goal... Said on another thread Colo keeps switching my opinion... Proper performance from him last night was great to see.
Agree with this. I'd have actually given Colo MOTM for us last night (Rooney was MOTM overall). Mbemba has been our best defender of the season so far, but last night he was bailed out by Colo quite a few times. I think his head went a bit after giving away the pen. Some of Colo's tackling one on one was immense, and he showed the sort of grit and leadership we've ben crying out for. I hammered him a few weeks ago so I'm gonna give credit where credit is due for last night.
To be fair to Mbemba he has played nearly every min of matches this season and for a young lad that is bound to take a toll mentally and physically!
