Two personal favourites: City 3 Sunderland 1 in 74/5 and a couple of year earlier when Stuart Pearson got 4 in a 5-1 win over Pompey.
Gong to agree with a few others on the 4-2 at Hillsborough, massive away following that night, taking up the whole stand, great performance and a belter from Barmby, one of the defining games in our rise up the leagues too, a night where it started dawning on us that we were capable of playing to our potential, that we didn't look out of place in big stadiums in front of big crowds
i really enjoyed the 1-0 win over leeds in 06 ( i think) header from the beast, and we could have had 3 or 4 that day..
Mines a bit of a weird one really. For me its Liverpool, Chelsea and Villa away in the FA Cup around '98, 2000 and 2001 respectively. Being around 8-11 and seeing the Premer League greats at the time such as Micheal Owen and Zola etc running the show at Boothferry was something I thought I'd never see. Having that strange feeling of excitement all day at school about playing a top team in the cup when anything could happen. More the occasion than the scoreline. Little did I know that years later we would play at Wembley to get into the promised land! Incredible thinking about it. Wasnt the greatest performance by us (Villa was alright) but something to be proud of when I was little.
The first leg play off against Watford, knew we would be at Wembley then, great day for Barmby. The second leg at the KC was pretty great also.
