No but you'd think that if they had a bit of passion there'd be at least the odd flare up now and again, wouldn't you? Roy Keane churned it up a bit on ITV during the Summer and it makes for good viewing apart from anything else. There's never anything like that on BBC or Sky.
anyone can talk a good game and these struggle not to talk crap! swords, these guys are trying to be professional in their approach to punditry, they aren't going to have a tear up over opinions that won't or don't change a thing! if that was the best defensive performance in England this season, then would it be correct to think that the spurs was the best attacking performance????
Give me strength! I'm not taking about having a tear up. I'm talking about asking tough questions, giving honest opinions even if they are controversial and not cosying up to each other. The consensus on this thread appears to be that being professional is all about being very polite to one another all the time. That tempers debate in my opinion and stops people getting to the nitty gritty. When have you lads ever seen pundits discussing Wenger and Arsenal like on the clip I put up, for example? You've never seen it because they don't do it! You're being sold short lads and you shouldn't stand for it. Yet you appear to be happy to let them clowns suck each other off in front of your very eyes instead of getting at the truth. At least Robbie Savage tries to tell the truth before they cut him off and Gary Neville gets stuck in as much as he is allowed to. Other than that, they're a bunch of wasters. He said it was the best defensive performance he seen this season. You obviously disagree. But how the FU*K does that mean that that was the best attacking performance he seen? Their entire attacking force was nullified by our defensive line. If you're looking at best attacking performances, you're likely to be talking about a team that's tore another team apart and scored a rake of goals.
swords, calm down fella, surely for us to defend well then they would have to attacked well? if they attacked poorly then how could have our defensive display been great? also, it seems that we are being sold short with pundits!!! what a load of sh#te. nobody really cares what they say!! we form our own opinions and don't rely on others to form them for us!!
swords is great, really great. he has to be the best offensive writer I've read about in England this season!!
Bobby lad, I'm sure there is a poster like Stan or someone who could put into words how skewed that logic is but I can't. All I can say is its wrong! But as usual there's no C*NT on here who will back me up when some other C*NT is talking sh*te. Wouldn't the best attacking performance in a season be when a team, despite playing against a very good defence, still opens them up with some sublime play and puts a few goals away? By your logic, if you flip it over, a brilliant attacking performance can only be so when no goals are scored! Because it would be against a brilliant defensive performance wouldn't it? For fu*k's sake. That's a load of cockology Bobby
There is no point in having pundits at all, they all talk sh*t, end of. They're are a complete and utter waste of my time and money. All I want to see is the football, I'll make my own mind up on what teams did or didn't do well. That's why I turned the tv over between games on motd. Just wish on live games you could have the option of listening to the crowd only, as if you we actually there, instead of the having someone talk b****cks and ruining my viewing pleasure.........
Whilst i dont completely disagree with you, are you saying that your views opinions etc are more valid then a seasoned pro like Shearer, Linekar, Hansen etc? I know they do talk sh**e sometimes & i dont agree with everything they say, but do you not think that they may know more about the game than us? im not defending them, just asking your opinion as its related to something else we were debating a while back
OOPS, just turned on the TV and its not the bloke I thought it was. Maybe they've seen sense and dumped that nasty little f*cker Murray.
swords kidda, isn't a great defensive performance a fantastic attacking display of defensive attacking neutralised by the defence of the attack??
in all seriousness swords my dear fellow poster, i couldn't give a f#ck what any pundits say or don't say.
