Anyone remember Kenneth Wolstenholme on Shoot I'm sure he used to fall asleep during some matches, he could go minutes without uttering a single word. Not SAFC but this is a classic
It the Carlos Edwards commentary for me... My fave commentary is during the Mary Decker-Slaney vs Zola Budd 1500 meters when Decker-Slaney sprinted away with 150 meters to go. The commentator said "Mary Decker-Slaney opens her legs and shows her class" As a pubescent teenager... That was pure gold !!!
Thanks clockstander, and I was in the clockstand when Gordon Armstrong headed ' that goal ' against Chelsea, great night that was and in the roker end it used to p*** down and you got soaked right through, but when we won it was great and Ipswich at home we won 3-0 when they where top of the 2nd division about 1993 or 94 if I remember, that was the most torrential rain at roker park in my 20 odd years going there.
