Best away for me of recent memory would have to be Norwich V Coventry 2010 we won 2-1 it was near Christmas and snowing badly so much we thought the game was going to be called off, but there was such a brilliant atmosphere in the away end and the scoreline barely reflected the game, if Kieran Westwood didn't play so well for them it would of been high scoring game for us.

Worst had to be Norwich V Northampton in the League Cup back in August 2003. Firstly a big group of my friends most non Cobblers fans and some Cobblers supporting relatives were in a large home pub nearby so I walk down to meet them, even though no one is wearing colours before I even set foot inside the pub two doormen tell us we're away fans and we can't go in, so we spend the next 15 minutes calmly arguing and proving our point with help from backup inside, they refuse to budge so we get packed off to drink in a Frankies & ****ing Bennies nearby! We lose the game 1-0 where for 90 minutes I'm receiving torrents of abuse in away end from my friends via text message, phone calls and being pointed out throughout the game.

Love this thread; reminds me why I love the club so much. Best for me would have to be Portsmouth away. Dire game, but the Sun was out and as soon as Simeon scored (and celebrated right in front of us) it was just one massive party. The pitch invasion at the end was pretty special as well.

Worst for me has to be the 4-0 defeat to Forest sitting amongst the home fans and my gloating Uncle. It was my first away game and I remember just wishing I could stand with the unbelievably loud (considering the circumstances) City fans.

Obviously there are just too many games, great and awful to list but there are two for me, from the same season, that are forever part of my memories.

1988/89 season, opening day fixture away to Middlesbrough. This was Boro's first game back in the top flight and they were really buzzing that day. The atmosphere for a good hour before the kick off at Ayresome Park was quite incredible, they were well and truly up for it. The noise they made at the kick off was quite frightening and I feared the worst. However, just a few minutes in and Rosario scored a ridiculously good goal from outside the penalty box, right in front of us 300 or so travelling fans (our support was very poor for the start of that season, as was demonstrated 2 weeks later at Newcastle).
The silence was as deafening as the noise before had been <laugh>
City went on to win 3-2. It was also the first away 1st division win I had seen for Norwich City, I saw my 2nd 2 weeks later at Newcastle <ok> City actually had a good haul of away wins that season, Liverpool, Man Utd.

Near the end of the season and City high in the league (3rd place), the TV cameras were pointed toward Highbury on 1st May for the top of the table clash. Arsenal were simply superb that day and just blew us away 5-0. The City defence just couldn't get near them for most of the match. We all left feeling seriously deflated and headed off to a local pub to drown our sorrows.

That was the first season I saw every game, home and away and there other horrible days included - Coventry City away of course (they always beat us back then) but to be stuffed, live on TV was the pits.

Another highly memorable day, oddly enough also features Arsenal at Highbury. No, not the 4-2 win from 2-0 down but the amazing 4-3 win to Arsenal, aided by referee George Tyson. I wish I could have found a better clip

Part two, which is also very poor quality

The referee just lost all control that day, he was later given the boot from refereeing <ok>
