I don't get irritated by him because of his background, i get annoyed that we paid more for him than hernandez and he can't put in a decent cross. Does anyone actually know why the transfer fee was that high? Surely we could have got him for a fraction of the cost?

An added bonus is that he will no longer be anywhere near Manchester United stealing his wages.

****. Always was, always will be.

I thought this was a crazy signing for Man United at the time and a lot of fans on the old 606 were (rightly) saying give him a chance. Well he's been given a chance and a one season loan with a view to a permanent move for 2 million pounds represents a loss for Man United. Not a heavy one, but a loss on a player you shouldn't have signed.

The whole thing at the time smacked of an agent favour and now he's joining a club with 4 other portugese players already on the books?! They should launch an investigation into the transfer to Man United in the first place. Wasn't his original agent gazumped days before the deal to Man United went through?

I think we all need to clarm down abit, Bebe is still very , very young and yes is very raw. But I would like to think of the where he come from (living on the street) that it says alot about him as a person. Has he really been given a chance, well manybe , maybe not. At the end of the day I honestly believe there something in him, I just hope he takes this loarn move as a good thing and gets alot of game time and proves himself. I would like to see him one day playing as an out and out forward in a united shirt. Watch this space 2years time I think where all be seeing a totally different player ( I hope )...

When Walcott has a bad day he looks like Dwain Chambers with a football. However on his good days he can do stuff like this which I have never seen Bebe do.

Bebe Solo Run vs England U21

    Bebe vs Wigan Reserves

His crossing is AWFUL but he isn't as bad as people think, but he is a bad winger, as a striker he is ok.

Anyway, imo, better dribbler than Walcott.

Tbh, the Bebe signing is murky at best imo. There is talk (admittedly only hearsay) of an unnamed super agent pocketing £3.5 million from that deal. Whether that's true or not, he certainly doesn't look like he's anywhere near good enough and if I hear the cliched "raw materials" argument again I think I will explode. What does that actually mean? The best way to judge it is, does anyone seriously think he will ever feature for Man United as even a bit part player in years to come? I really don't. Probably why I'm gutted about our apparent willingness to let O'Shea go. He has his limitations but I think a guy as versatile as JOS and who has never let us down really shouldn't be shunted out the door, particularly for the valuation that seems to have been placed upon his shoulders.

The first goal in that match came about through his own poor control. In the PL the chance would have been gone. Might seem harsh but it's true. Even Wigan, as bad as they are when they play us, would probably have snuffed that one out at senior level. As for the second one, that was a great finish and fantastic technique. The problem is, even I produce goals like that in 5 a side now and again. The best way to judge me as a player is whether I could repeat it and how I play consistently. That's how Bebe should also be judged and why I don't rate him.
