We need to strengthen on the left side as a priority so a new left back and an out and out left winger would do for starters.

Left back yes, even if Dudgeon returns fit and healthy but we've Brady coming back, Boyd and Aluko all of whom are capable as wide men on the left.

Cresswell from Ipswich (potential) or Ridgewell from WBA (experience) would be my shouts at LB.

Really? I would say of all positions, left wing is our strongest. Brady, Boyd, Quinn, Aluko has done a very good job whenever he's played there, and although I think Sagbo has been poor when played wide, he can fill in when necessary.

Darren Fletcher. He'd fit in great with Hudd and Livermore as part of a midfield 3. Last year of his contract at Man Utd and they'll be buying big this summer for sure.

Underrated player - but with Man Utd out of the Champions League I'm not sure they'll be buying that big. Don't think he'll be going anywhere.

They ain't gonna get Van Gaal in and throw him £10million. He'll be given some right wedge and told to ensure CL qualification for next year. I'd love DF with us.

I'd like to see us aiming for another big name signing, like we had with Huddlestone and Long in the last two windows.

That aside, if we can move on Proschwitz, I'd like to see us go for Jonathan Soriano from Red Bull Salzburg. The lad has scored 59 goals in 69 appearances, he's gotta be worth a gamble; Red Bull have absolutely smashed that league this year and did pretty well in the Europa League too. Their midfielder, Kevin Kampl, is also doing really well and I reckon Robbie Koren could have a word with him.

Not dull at all. What's a bit of ready cash got to do with owt or nowt anyway?

I'd rather be skint now and again than be the sort of arsewipe who comes out with the kind of dribbling faeces that emanates from your fingertips every time you sit at a keyboard :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Fullbacks are what we need, although Rosie has been great & is an excellent option to have to cover either side, I see him as a back up from the bench if we can get a decent young LB, I also rated Brayford in the semi, I have learnt since that he belongs to Cardiff, but he was outstanding in the first half. Cover at CB, possibly get Turner back if Norwich go down, although he may want to be first choice, but I reckon he'd be cheap & he knows the club, at the same time I'm not sure if he'd be an improvement, maybe SB could get the best out of him. Midfield definitely Livermore needs to be signed, also we need cover for Elmo or his replacement & another defensive midfielder, again as cover or to challenge, finally a striker that can add to what we already have, as I say that, some of these young players we have brought in May get a shot in the cup games next season & even a place on the bench in some league games, hopefully SB will blood more of the young players to save money. The obvious other position is GK, although Harper has been good & at times looks quality for his age, I'd still like to see a real back up keeper, again maybe Oxley will be that player or Cracknel.

There will be no catastrophe now....3 relaxed wins & we may end up 9th or 10th. We'll be able to attract anyone we'll need for European adventure & Premier League consolidation.
Sneaking one past Arsenal will help too. Been waiting for this moment all my life.

I have to agree, I watched him against us at Wembley and he certainly didn't impress me.

Rosie as back up, he's been superb this season especially on the right, we need back up for him more like!

Turner has been totally shocking, wouldn't touch him

would love to see us beef the midfield up with a couple of combative midfields, feel that several times this season we've lost the midfield altogether, as for Michael Turner, I agree he's not the player we remember, injuries appear to have taken there toll, lost a lot of his pace and bite.

    1. Livermore - To be Livermore
    2. Left Back - To start
    3. Right Back - To compete with Rosenior as starter
    4. Right Winger - To compete with Elmo as starter
    5. Centre Back - To compete with Chester to partner Davies as starter
    6. Defensive Central Mid - To rotate/cover if we get the extra European games

We have forwards now, and sufficient left sided players. Edit: Sufficient left midfielders

He'll cost us more points if he's depended upon at the back.

Always like the look of Cresswell (Ipswich). How about Carl Jenkinson (Arsenal) on maybe a loan deal as competition for Rosie at right back ? , again he always looked pretty decent when I have seen him play and he likes to get forward when he can also

Given how Elmo has played this season, I don't think we will be bringing in anybody to replace him. I'd like to think we have the keepers covered, Oxley will be third choice and apparently Jak has been offered a deal at Orient. Also interest from Switzerland and the Championship.

I think we need another CM, I can see Quinn going out on loan next year as he isn't going to force his way in any time soon. It'd be nice to see a couple of youngsters on the bench in our final game if we are definitely safe, just to see what they can do against Pl opposition.
