What should Spurs pay for Berahino in the January window?

It's complete hypocrisy of course. The wailing about foul play over Modric seems to have been conveniently forgotten.

Another prime example of why Arsenal fans shouldn't be allowed to leave their secure facilities without responsible, adult supervision.
How thick does somebody have to be to take that Chelsea Flower Show comment seriously, not only at the time, but years later?

Proof, if any were needed, that Putin's mates irradiating the Emirates has done massive long-term damage.
They need to close the place down as soon as possible, in my opinion.
I mean, look at this mutant:

    Frightening.
That's not a screenshot from Fallout 4, if anyone's wondering.

The Chelsea flower show comment was classic 'toys out of the pram' denial of Modric saying he wanted to leave Spurs.

I'm wondering how thick somebody has to be not to realise that I was taking the piss out of it ? <whistle>

It wasn't a toys out of the pram denial, it was a joke and only a total cyclops would see it as anything else.
The mental gymnastics that are involved in perceiving that comment in that way are astounding.

  7. PIXIE is half-way to being a mental gymnast. At the moment, he's just mental.

We would have had to pay him £5m to leave on a free transfer to strengthen west ham. ..that would have been moronic imo.

And you're halfway to another monumental climbdown. It looks like your prediction of Berahino going on strike is going the same way as the rest of your predictions <ok>

Did he make a prediction? He reported that Berahino had said that he was going on strike. That happened.
Whether or not the player follows up on it is irrelevant.

Yes, but you're allowing facts to get in the way of having a pop at HIAG!

    PINKIE and PleaseNotPoll like this.
  12. PIXIE "owned" without any one breaking sweat! That's got to be a first!

Yes, PNP, as you correctly state, mine was nothing more than reporting news. I have no more insight to Berahino's motives that anyone else. That PIXIE so desperately latches onto such trivia as a means of point-scoring is as embarrassing as it is pathetic.

He really is the nutter on the bus of this board, and none of us want to sit next to him!

  14. Yeah, like, if that happened, that wouldn't cause problems for WBA!

How much does their top player currently earn?

Let's say this happens, and Berahino is given £50k per week, how are his team mates going to view that deal?

How are the WBA fans going to view it?

Let's say that, in January, Spurs come in and buy him for £25m (buy-out clause), and we give him £50k per week (which we can easily afford), how is that going to leave WBA and their squad? Those players will know that if you kick up enough of a ****-storm, you'll force your twat of a chairman to give you a salary that the club simply cannot sustain.

    I couldn't really give a **** about any of that <ok>

If Berahino signs a new contract I'm going to quote your Mad Hatter underpants comment about how ridiculous a notion him signing a new contract would be and watch you try and squirm out of it <laugh>

Don't try EDITING it though HIAG, I've clocked it already .....

  16. If Berahino signs another contract with WBA, having stated publicly that he wants out of the club, then it is he who needs to wear underpants on his head!

If he wants out, the best thing he can do, is apologise to his chairman, manager, and team mates, buckle down, but be determined that he won't sign another contract, and leave in 2016, when he can buy himself out of his own contract. He'll recoup the cost of doing that in his signing-on fee (which can be negotiated to include that sum).

    This isn't rocket science!

If Berahino signs another contract with WBA, you will be faced with a monumental 'owning' and a massive climbdown <ok>

Au contraire my friend, this thread is littered with your comments about how Berahino signing another contract with WBA is never going to happen.

Now, you're ****ting yourself in case he does <laugh>
