Our next game, which is very important, is at home to Spurs ......... I'm glad they won't have the boost he may have given them.
Fair point but you'd have just spunked it up the wall on ****e anyway. You've had some pretty decent fees for players in the last decade.
Apparently Spurs offered West Brom £5m up front and £20m over the next 5 years till 2020. Nee wonder they didn't sell...
Aye absolutely as we've spent it on players like Danny Graham etc!! Hopefully that's changing with Congerton! We were (apparently) interested in Papy Djibolodji (sp?) and he's gone to Chelsea. May not be a first choice for them but hey, second or third choice for them would most likely get into our side. And we've signed the likes of Borini, M'Vila and Lens (I know M'Vila is on loan but we have a right to buy at the end) so it looks like cash is being more wisely invested now! Just wish we'd got Kevin Nolan to top it off..... Oh hang on, that was the Daily Mirror's rumour....
If the season was starting now we would all think we would finish top 10 i bet? I'm going to say around 14th. Mind you i don't know what 6 we will finish above?! Watford and...
Lens and M'Villa look very good signings and they alone are enough of an improvement to think you should get more points this season than last. Borini is a good player, a good worker and someone who very much knows what he's signed up for so can get started right away. I think he's a good signing and most of your fans see that. Your defence is clearly the worry as its debateable whether it is stronger than last season (Rev was a good player for you) but your first team is better and your squad is better. Poor start but you are one win from 10th.
Our problem tho haslam is that we haven't played any of the top sides yet. On paper we had a very kind start to the season..
Tiz, have you seen the results the supposed top four clubs have had so far this season, I get the feeling they won't scare many this year and this could be one of the most open league's we've had in years both at the top and bottom, with the exception of City.
Money has destroyed the game we loved when I was a kid - but it has also meant that I have got to see players like Eric Cantona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Edin Hazard etc. etc play against my club at our home ground! Without the money they would never have been seen in this country!
Maybe what he meant to say was money in the wrong hands destroys players? Saido in my opinion, is the captain of the little boys club this season. Obnoxious prick, I'd be surprised if many WBA fans back him now.
Can;t disagree mate - He is a totally obnoxious ****er! He's no better than Connor Wickham as a footballer IMO! Over-rated ****e
Can you imagine if United wanted Sterling and when he arrived he had to explain why his mum rang in sick for him to people like Roy Keane, Bryan Robson and Paul Scholes? The ****ing players nowadays are pathetic, spoilt little bastards. I hope Vieira put that little weasel straight as soon as he entered Manchester.
What does it come down too? Generation y/z? The way they were raised? It's like some of em think that because they've made it professional and are well off, that they can call all the shots and spit the dummy when dissatisfied. Personally in saido's case, I believe whoever has an influence in his life is weak as piss.
Parents mate, for sure. There's just so many of them who have not had their feet kept firmly grounded. I can think of one good example, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who seems to be a very good kid, I'm sure his dad is/was his agent too so he's not having to deal with the devil on his shoulder that most players are... you can apportion some of the blame to agents as well, undeniably. De Gea looks to be a good lad, despite wanting out he's never kicked up a fuss or went on some media rant. Contrast that with Di Maria who went and purposely missed his flight so he didn't have to join up for pre-season with United. There's some ****ing weasels around mate, far more weasels than men. Fergie never stood for attitude, to his own detriment at times, he hated ego, that's why Beckham had to go, RVN, Pogba, Ravel Morrison.
Good post mate! You've nailed it on the head in regards to players who have had problems with their current clubs but have handled it like men.. Over here mate the best coaches are the best man managers, Sir Alex created that role from my point of view. Can't respect him enough for that. Is he a dying breed?
I'd imagine so mate, so many managers nowadays command respect that they haven't earned. People like Andre Villas Boas for example, nobody at Chelsea was going to take him seriously (another problem with players today), same at Spurs, nobody gave a **** about him. Same with Moyes, he'd won nothing, wrecked the entire coaching set up at United then demanded respect... why would they? Fergie always gets credit from players who leave United, just today Hernandez singing his praises. Ronaldo never shuts up about him. Mourinho is the man now it seems, sadly, a crying little bitch who probably lets his players walk all over him.
