yes but i would say £0 until he plays 60 pl games for us then they get it all. (whatever the price is) this will take him to the end of next season where hopefully he would have scored 30-40 goals and we can sell him to liverpool for £30 million and keep it all to ourselves.
we may have to keep them sweet if we want downing on the cheap, get him then name the price. tbh though its just selling him so AV get sweet FA like they are doing to us atm (its only 3 or 6 million they owe us but its the principle of the whole shenanigans)
The big question is also - is he still any good? In a way I'm glad to have moved on from his subpar link up and team play.
Fletcher is as good a finisher, and is better all round. If we played the system we did under Bruce, and told Fletch to do **** all but loiter inside the box, with a partner like Kenwyne alongside, I'm convinced Fletch would outscore Bent. Better first touch, more instinctive, better in the air, and hits the ball cleaner. Bent was a goalscorer, Fletch is a goalscoring footballer.
This on so many levels. Why the **** are we talking about signing a has been like Bent, who ****ed us over royally? The twat can't get in a bad Villa side. The only BENT I would have is BENTeke!
