Read the other day that Aston Villa weren't selling Bent at any price and that Randy Lerner, the owner hadn't been contacted at all about Bent. Heard that about 2 days ago. This could all just be media speculation, guess we'll find out soon enough.

Bent isnt that mobile...and rarely got us winners...he might have however got a goal in a 4-0 win or a 3-2 loss

Sure he was at Tottenham, but weren't Tottenham really struggling when he was there, there for meaning he hasnt played for a team competing at the top.

I don't think Bent got a fair look in at Spurs any way.


A lot of pundits have said they think Bent would do very well at a top 4 club.

well 27m = ridiculous..... 24mil was too much imo too... to be honest looking at his full package i really don't see anyhting more than a 15mil player and he's nearly 28.

i honestly think there are two issues, quality of chance created (by others) and lack of composure in front of goal, scuffing shots, firing them wide etc.
