unfortunately that was for about 5 mins and showed when we did that they couldn't get near us,that period you're talking about should have spoke volumes to pardew if it did or not we'll see

Pardews going to ruin his confidence if it hasn't already been done. To be honest Pardew did very well whilst the team picked it'self,however I'm starting to see Pardew has not awareness of young talent or what requires changing in matches.

The bit that worries me most is him mentioning the direct style. We've proven so far this season that we can play on the ground well. We've even dominated teams when we've played it on the ground. Pardew sounds like he's just getting a bit worried about this rough patch we're having and has reverted to tactics that have far from worked. If the man has any sense, we'll be playing fluent, passing football like we did on that unbeaten run tonight.

Ben Arfa stated in the interview that he deemed himself 100% fit and only a few weeks ago Pardew was on record as stating that Ben Arfa was nearing fitness.

No point throwing a player into a competitive match and knackering him.

I don't see Ben Arfa losing any confidence at all as he's a player that exudes it and simply is biting at the bit to get out there now and show what he can do.

Cut Pardew some slack. A few matches ago he couldn't do any wrong.

He's done a great job to date.

 

While this is pretty true, at some point you've got to chuck him in the deep end. Plus, as our most creative player, we need him all the time, not just the last 20 minutes. The way he plays, he could very well be anonymous all game and then create some magic in one moment. We restrict these moments!

 

He's being brought on as if he can run on the pitch and hit the ground running. This idea is ridiculous because he sees nothing of the ball at that stage of the game.

I'm confused by it all as Pards is on the record ages ago as saying his preferred formation is one up front with HBA playing off the lone striker...... Looks as though there are a few issues behind the scenes here.

 

Interview in the Chronicle with Benny tonight would suggest he is far from unhappy. A good read, with both HBA talking about the club, city and fans. Also AP is talks about HBA.

Those interviews were last month, he's now fit and raring to go and wanting a run in the team. Circumstances have changed since the last interview. Now you go **** yourself you ****.

 

Presumably we shoud all believe this sensationalist Sun article which is countered by the level headed articles on Benny in the Times, Chronicle and a few more today?
