Aarons is certainly looking like he could become a similar player... Cabella after making such a promising start at city has been terrible and seems afraid to run at defenders... He also looks like he has no end product and has made a few terrible decisions this season and just before the equaliser went in he could have picked out aarons for 4 ... I know it's early days but he's starting to remind me of goufran already

That is the worst choice for a poll I have ever seen mooted. I'd still choose Pards over fatty though.

How about a 3rd selection of neither?

If we could have a guarantee that a better manager (one that could instill clever attacking play and effective set pieces would be a nice change) was the replacement then surely it has to be getting rid of Pardew. It would have a bearing on the match performance of the whole team. Getting rid of HBA doesn't change anything, seeing as he doesn't play anyway. Get rid of both - fine. One or the other? Pardew.

If we could guarantee we would get a better player, one that wasn't a lazy narcissist, then letting HBA go would be a good idea as well. In fact, letting HBA go without getting anyone in would be a good idea.

I am shocked nobody wants him. I have been led to believe by a majority of our fanbase that he is our best player, and is a real match winner. If that was the case surely someone would take a punt on him? Strange because when we have had top class players in the past turn ****, or fall out, they've been queuing around the block. Even the ****e arse weasel Bellamy had his suitors.

It would appear those inside football just don't rate lardy bum.

We're a fine mess. We have a manager who no one will take off our hands, and our supposed best player is treat like a leper by the footballing world.

Can we not put him on ebay? Start the bidding at 99p or a box of raspberry flavoured ice pops.

You're wrong there DMW, he's had offers, the club have entertained them, and Ben Arfa has rejected them, so say SSN.

Every other club he's supposedly been "trouble" at, he's wanted to f*** off and leave them, so what does this situation tell you?

We may never have a more talented player.

Most of our squad are better players.

Well Brum was willing to take him on loan. Some French club was willing to take him if they didn't have to pay all of his wages. Not seen any indication that anyone is actually willing to pay for him, or indeed pay him.

It tells me he has gone to the well far too many times, and nobody half decent wants to take him. He has some delusional idea of him being one of the worlds best. It also tells me for the first time in this situation he has found some support from the fans of the club. We've got the only fanbase stupid enough to think that a troublemaking lazy unprofessional ****tard is worth creaming over. He is playing on that and I truly believe he thinks he can just wait for Pardew to get bulleted. I have a feeling he is in for a nasty surprise. Even if a new manager came in I'd be surprised to see any change form HBA, and no manager would suffer his behaviour willingly.

Personally although I think it is somewhat skewed by the hatred of Pardew, I think our fanbase would have this ridiculous stance regardless of manager. Maybe its hopeless romanticism holding onto the odd great game he has had or having witnessed some of best goals scored by any Newcastle player.

The only confirmed offer is Birmingham where Clarkie moreorless admitted it <laugh>

Unless we believe his charming agent who has also mentioned Beskitas, AC Milan and some Ukrainian side. If AC Milan had really been in for him, he'd already be there. **** knows about the other two. Seriously, if he was THAT good, there would be some top teams swarming to snap him up. Reality is they all think they'd rather have players who want to work for a living.

Well to be fair, Demba Ba wasn't exactly coveted by premier league clubs after scoring frequently for West Ham. Ben Arfa has scored some exceptional goals when given the chance, and played in pretty much every game we'd describe as a good performance since he arrived here.

It seems more like stupidity to write him off, when it seems more a case of him not getting on with the manager than not having the best ability of anyone in the squad. Pardew wasn't the chap Ibra was talking about with his sportscar metaphor, but he could quite easily have been!

I can't believe we are not going to bring anyone in, and Saylor has had not only not ****ed off but given a bump up, Pardew will make out its been a glorious transfer window when we are probably even weaker.

I hate the whole c**tin lot of them.

Demba was different though. The rumours about his knee put paid to a lot of clubs. As soon as he did the business for us over a sustained period, they all wanted a piece. Plus Demba is very professional and dedicated.

It is not about not getting on with the manager for me. The lad has been overweight for 2 seasons. Take the manager out of the situation, that just isn't acceptable. Unless you are suggesting Pardew is a secret feeder and has been giving benny some of the pies from his Greggs run for Mike? He is well paid and has ripped the piss out of our club long enough. The manager is bang average but tries his best. Ben Arfa is very talented but can't be arsed. Which is the biggest sin? HBA hasn't even delivered that much for us. For every good game, I've sat and watched him have 6 bad ones. I've watched his teammates become more and more frustrated as he runs down yet another blind alley playing schoolyard footy. Sorry I just don't get what all the fuss is about. Fans will disagree about players like him. But those in the game appear to have made their mind up on the 27yr old manchild.

Aye Ibra was on about Pep Guardiola wasn't he. Called that one a bit wrong looking at his record.

What I find most disgusting is the fact our main porogative right now is to sell a player rather than to replace an out going player! We're one bloody injury away from a cb crisis ... I think Ashley thinks he will have a lot of good will from this window. I think most fans will have a bad taste left in the mouth and I think we have literally done the bare minimum a usual to ensure no relegation but no more

I don't think we have done even that. If we are left with three CBs, one of whom is Taylor, and no proven striker... We're going to struggle and may do more than flirt with the relegation spots. Pardew will certainly not work miracles with the resources he has, of that we can be pretty sure.
