CARDIFF City are hoping to hijack Sunderland’s move for full-back Benjamin Mendy.

The 18-year-old has been on Wearside to discuss personal terms with the Black Cats this week after French club Le Havre accepted an offer for the left-back last weekend.

But with Mendy’s move yet to be finalised, newly-promoted Cardiff have emerged as late rivals for Sunderland in the battle to land the France Under-19 international.

Fair enough if he was holding off to see if one of the big guns game in for him

But if was to go to Cardiff it would be a major insult imo

If he chooses Cardiff over us then they must be taking the QPR route by throwing high wages around. They've just been promoted, only have category 2 status. Just doesn't make sense to choose them unless for high wages.

I dunno about that lads, Cardiff's probably going to be attractive for quite a lot of foreign players. It's a big city with plenty on offer. I wouldn't look at the fact that they've just been promoted, they have potential to be a big team over the coming years. There's also the fact that some players are just not going to agree with Di Canio and his methods.

I think if you look at it logically though, as soon as he clocks Craig Bellamy he'll run a mile from the hunchbacked ****ing pigfaced gremlin so you should have nowt to worry about!
