From the BBC, Rafa Benitez following the win against Crystal Palace has never lost a home league fixture against a former England Manager, 21 games played, 17 wins, 4 draws. Not a lot of people know that.
Nice little factoid. <ok>

So either he's really good, OR the former England managers are all really bad.

Or BOTH.

Love a good fact.
How about this one, Alan Pardew remains the most widely derided manager by Sunderland fans (and rightly so). He took us to 5th and the Europa League Quarter Finals. This is more than Sunderland have ever managed in their Premiership existence.
FACT
Sunderland fans deride Benitez for not having won the PL. Due to their history, they appear to have no idea the Champions League, UEFA cup, Europa and even Spanish League exists.

Am I correct in thinking that the last time the mackems played in Europe was in an episode of Auf Wiedersehen Pet?

The words " passport " and " Milan " do not feature in dictionaries sold in Sunderland.
Now come on Jim, that is a blatant lie just for the amusement of falsely mocking the mackems.

I know that for sure because there are no dictionaries sold in Sunderland.

Which international footballer (retired) appeared in 4 World Cups, winning one, but never played a single World Cup Qualifier. A clue, he was a one club man.
