I am sure they have more goals in them when the injuries dry up, its just getting those players to play the game, obviously Steve Mac cant, but can Rafa if he is appointed? I don't think they wouldn't have conceded so many either if they had their first choice keeper between the sticks. Time will tell in the next 10 games mate,
I said a defensively minded manager would be suicide for me. You're not going to agree with me because you seem to think they're equally as **** going forward as they are defending, so there's no point debating this. My argument is essentially that defensively minded coaches can teach tactics but they can't make bad defenders good, just look at your own manager for **** sake, he's the master of plugging the leaks and he still had to go out and buy Kone, Kirchhoff and now Eboue on a free.
That's exactly what I'm saying, the appt of Rafa isn't gonna guarantee them anything at all, I think he'd be a far better appointment than a firefighter though, given their playing personnel.
Cant disagree with that Wazza, like i said in an earlier post though is that whoever comes in has only got that pool of players at his disposal, whereas Sam was fortunate enough to be able to buy to plug those gaps.
Of course, on the balance of things you're in a better position to fight your way out of it, but I'd probably pick their fixture list over yours. I've been thinking about the possibility of you both staying up, slim as it may seem, it would require Palace's current run of form over their past 11 games to continue for another 10 I reckon, not impossible but a long shot. Everybody seems to have Norwich as dead certs, they don't look like they have any luck but from what I've seen they have a lot of fight, they might just surprise a few people.
Norwich for me are like Leicester of last year, played quite well but not getting results, something could well change in their fortunes. I've not looked at the run in in depth but after Newcastle play Leicester i think they have us, Norwich and Swansea so a nice little run for them. Its gonna be squeaky bum time for us as usual unless we go on a run similar to that of Swansea or Bournemouth and put a nice cushion between us and the bottom 3.
I'm gutted it hasn't worked out for Steve. He seems a likeable guy and I'd like to think there is a position for him at the club! I'm still shocked that it looks like a manager of the stature of Rafa wants to take over! He is someone I assumed would always be out of our reach! Certainly, in my opinion, best placed to keep us up. Just gotta wait and see now.
According to some bloke on Twitter, he learned he was getting sacked from the media Only at your ****ing club
Doesn't surprise me given the ****ers we have in charge. Nobody deserves to lose their job like that. Not even the silver haired fraudster and I genuinely hate him
That's the important part to remember, just because Mac didn't make it work, it doesn't make him a bad man, show the poor bastard a bit of respect. It seems there's more bad eggs in your board than anywhere else at your club.
please log in to view this image Lee Ryder lee_ryder #nufc saying Steve McClaren has NOT been sacked yet. Nothing about his departure yet from the club.
From a personal level, I like the guy. I was hoping that there would be some position for him at the club to be honest.
Rasta will be a very good signing for the unwashed if it becomes reality. Just hope its too late for him to turn them around and is as much success as Remi Garde at villa.
