Rafa would be the worst England manager ever and the last 2 are really really bad. His next job should be at a club that is more suited to his level and managerial ability. Of course there is only 1 team, Gretna!
Some of them came through the youth set up so don't see how they can be classed as Rafa buys. I don't think you can class a lot as a flop as they cost hardly anything and were youth players. A flop is someone who underperforms judged against how much was paid for them. N'gog cost 1mil and scored about 10 goals last season so how can he be an "abysmal & total flop"? Ask Swansea or Norwich fans if they can spend 1 mil on a striker who is going to get them 10goals in the Premiership this season and I'm sure they'd bite your hand off! Also how many of those listed were sold on a year or two for similar money after they were brought because Rafa realised they were no good? There was only really Keane that was sold for a lot less than we brought him for.
N'gog a flop for £1m?? We've had bids for 6 times that, how many other players can command a fee 6 times their purchase value? while he is not great and not Liverpool standard, the modern game is also about making money and the fact we will make money on him makes him a success
I thought you might have done a bit of reading today to educate yourself about the man. Me and my daft ideas when will I ever learn
Yes he was impressive in Spain and that goes without saying but at Liverpool he lost the plot. Yes of course you will point towards his CL win and 2nd place finish but they were not the norm. Perhaps you should learn not everyone thinks Liverpools and all connected with them are perfect. Rafael Benitez was very much a joke, us United fans spent his entire tenure laughing at him.
All that proves is that the majority of United fans are a mere moronic herd. If you had done as terrifictraore suggested then you would have learnt that your opinions were not based upon fact
So reaching an additional final (2007) and semi final (2008) meant that winning the CL in 2005 was a bit of a fluke? I'd say reaching the semi final stage or beyond 3 out of the 5 years he was in charge was pretty good going. And of course, we all realise that not everyone thinks anyone to do with Liverpool is perfect. You're a shining example of someone who doesn't think so, even when presented with facts. You offer debate, yet refuse to consider the opinions of others when they oppose your own, even if they're valid points.
2005 - Champs League 2006 - FA Cup 2007 - Champs League final 2008 - 2nd place finish. 2009 - Lost it. So you were laughing at him all the way to the bank? He accomplished something in every season but his last, where I agree he did lose it a bit. But to just have him down as having "lost the plot" is completely inaccurate. If this is losing the plot, I'd love to know what he'd accomplish if he found it again.
United fans can comment now,how are they going to feel when Ferguson goes and their success dries up.I'm convinced that United job for a period is going to be a poisoned chalice as they will attempt to find another Ferguson when in reality they would be better appointing the complete opposite. Thats what Liverpools success after Shanks retired was built on..they didn't go looking for another Shanks...they didn't need to...they appointed the complete opposite.Bob Paisley was the complete opposite to Shanks in every way,Shanks was media friendly and a showman...Bob couldn't give team-talks part from saying ''same again lads'' However his strength was building well oiled machines that he didn't have to give instructions to,they knew what was expected of them, all his signings had one thing in common, they all had good characters, winning characters, possibly the reason why the side had a Scottish backbone.Hansen....Souness...Dalglish...Liverpools Scottish backbone.
