Because we are the club, without us it is nothing. Same as any business it is nothing without customers.
I’m not suggesting we should know everything that goes on at the club, this is a completely different league. I already said I don’t normally comment about rumours for that very reason. Whether our main striker, a position the club were very upfront about wanting filled during the summer window, is ruled out for potentially for the rest of the season is something the fans should be told about as it may have a major impact on our expectations this season , otherwise why were they so keen to bring in a top striker in the first place. Let’s be honest whether he plays or not for the rest of the season could have a major impact where we finish in the league, if he has an issue of this magnitude that could keep him out for the rest of the season I want to know.
So as we will know anyhow at 2pm tomorrow in your own words ‘ what benefit to the club in not making a comment ‘
That’s like saying by 5pm tomorrow we’ll know the result , no point going and watching the game, just tune into RB tomorrow at 5.
What's the point in letting Swansea know in advance? I know it's only small margins but if they are in any doubt about our team it can only help
The website tends to be rather condensed nowadays catering for all the sports and teams CITYs team haeder used have suspensions and injury info not now? obviously takes up to much space …….. lol
If he isn’t injured I won’t have a problem with it, if he is I feel it’s more important to inform our fans for the reasons stated in my previous post, Swansea will make plans for either eventuality anyhow,
More important to inform our fans than potentially disrupt Swansea's thought process? Really? Does it make any difference to a fan if we find out now or in 20 hours time?
I don’t think RR is suggesting we are made aware of whether the guy/gal who serves him his pre match pastie/ pint has done their ACL. The fitness or otherwise of the guy that was brought to the club to score the goals to hopefully enable us to break into the top six , or even top two is important to us fans though.
It isn’t ridiculous to me or RR , to me it’s ridiculous to not tell your fans immediately if a serious injury occurs to your main striker, like I said if he’s not injured fine , I see no justification in the club commenting on rumours. The argument about not giving Swansea information is ridiculous, they will plan for both scenarios, and as you rightly say at 2pm they will know anyhow, and use the appropriate plan.
So you don't think it's better for Swansea to be looking at different scenarios rather than one? I much rather City concentrate on beating Swansea tomorrow and if that involves keeping them in a dark rather than appeasing needy fans about team news then even better
I don’t consider myself a needy fan, in fact I consider myself a well balanced one, it was never a case of looking at one scenario or another, football isn’t played like that anymore, there are lots of different scenarios that have to be considered even using the same players depending how the team is set up.
Sad to see this injury and now is the time to show that we are fully equipped to handle our business when set-backs like this occur. The Ashton Gate roar will frighten the heck out of the visiting supporters and get us the victory that could possibly see us on the top of the table. Now is the time.
