Sky Sports sources understand Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is in talks regarding a move to Crystal Palace. We'll bring you more on this story shortly.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23897059 Wenger says he isn't going to panic buy before the end of the transfer window and that Bendtner may get a chance in the first team. The main part can be found at the bottom of the article.
it's bollocks, it's Wenger being a tool trying to up his price and demand. I'll be dazzled if bendtner gets anywhere near the first team.
According to Sky they're after Jimmy Kebe (Reading) and Jack Hunt from 'Udders' as well........... mind you they're welcome to Kebe.
I thought it had already been quoted that Palace had withdrawn interest due to unaffordable wages? I do hope we aren't planning on limping to January with our current strike force, need another 2.
Maybe, maybe not. We don't know what Sagbo will be like yet, all we've seen him in is a game where it was all we could do just to keep hold of the ball for 30 seconds in our own half, and 25 minutes where we looked shaky before getting sent off for talking to someone.
All this public talk of too expensive is clearly all part of the argy-bargy negotiation tactics from interested clubs. The interested clubs may include ourselves. Arsene has now reacted: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...senal-striking-crisis-says-Arsene-Wenger.html Then again, Arsene might just be getting desperate.
Does anyone else think Arsenal could benefit from some better defenders and a goalie before forward players?
arsenal fans will absolutely fume.. **** buying a top player, we shall use bendtner, he's not played for us for two years, he's a top signing
Honestly, if Arsenal continue like this, they are on a downward spiral. Not cup wise as they havent won **** all in ages, but in the table. I can honestly see them finishing 6th.
Brady will end up as our 12 goals a season forward. Aluko will chip in 8. We then just need to get in one other striker who'll get 8+ Maybe Bendtner?
According to Vital - Hull, Bendtner has negotiated a pay-off from the Arses: "there have been interesting developments in Nicklas Bendtner`s situation. The Arsenal forward has agreed a £3 million pay-off with his club in order to engineer a move out of the Emirates, raising attention to his availability to a number of clubs. With wages of £50,000 having been a stumbling block previously, City could now make a move for the Danish forward on a permanent basis. West Bromwich Albion were understood to have made a £3 million bid for the forward last week whilst Crystal Palace have held talks with Bendtner, offering the forward a deal in the region of £25,000 per week." http://www.hull.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=330933
Looks like Palace and Holloway had a lucky escape then. Thank goodness that we did not get him either. What a ringing endorsement he is. www.justarsenal.com/wenger-blocked-nicklas-bendtners-exit-from-arsenal/26664 phew........
