Defoe, Odemwingie or Kalou would be excellent Signings for arsenal

Nothing more than £10 mill should be enough for any of them

i honestly think Bent would have been a great signing.

Defoe i doubt will come - too much history of disliking Arsenal while playing for Spurs. Kalou is no better than Bendtner, at all. Odem is an interesting one, he's older, but would give 2 or 3 good years. Won't be on big money, but can score goals, and has some height to him. Further, he'd be stepping out the way in 3 years just as Afobe is coming into his own.

The thing when looking for a striker for a team like Arsenal is:

If you were 10 seconds away from losing a cup final and the ball falls to your striker - you want someone who you know (without doubt) will finish it.
Odemwingie is certainely not a striker that assures you "not doubt, he'll score".

Or Bent, knowing Bent he'd probably kick the grass instead of the ball, or scuff it wide.

Yeah Hernández according to you is woeful and yet Bendtner has amazing potential. Please tell me this is you attempt at irony.

Lets buy a quality striker. Not defoe or odemwingie, because RVP will get injured and for a while. Why take the risk.

Bendtner has been a joke for us, and I wont miss him, but doesn't mean we replace a poor striker with another one, we already have chamakh who cannot shoot so get some quality.

Benzema has had a reasonably good season at real, its just that they have amazing attacking options so he didn't play much. I still think he is a class player. As for Podolski he looks quality whenever I have seen him play, but I have never seen him at club level so I guess your opinion is better than mine on him.

Podolski is still only 25. Has a FANTASTIC goalscoring record at international level and now back at Cologne (Koln) he's been playing exceptionally well again. He's not an out and out striker he's more like Rooney - can play anywhere across the front line. At Bayern he was generally played out wide. He's an excellent player.

Benzema is Top Top class. It's not uncommon for quality players to not be given a chance at Real (Sneidjer, Van Der Vaart etc..) but playing under Mourinho makes it even more difficult for the Frenchman. Jose only ever plays one centreforward even when the team is trailing so Benzema's role has been limited to super -sub. Even soo he scored 24 goals this season. I would'nt call that a poor Season.

The sooner Bendtner goes the better, if he was half as good as he thinks he is it would be a start but the bloke is fifth rate at best. Granted our genius of a manager playing the Bacon muncher on the wing did little to help him what with heading being his only passable skill . But all in all good bye, ta ta , dont come back

i rate Bendtner. he played on the wing as he's one of the only players in the team who can deliver a decent cross. In a few years he'll be a good quality front-man, he just needs to mix it a bit and get more physical. i'd expect him to do very well at his new club, hope he does anyway!!
