Of course we all have opinions and mine is Bony came to Swansea for 3 reasons , Laudrup , Europa and the way we were respected as a team .Laudrup was sacked prematurely jusr after he got us to the 2nd round of Europa . Throw in scoring a big winning goal late at Old Trafford under Laudrup in the FA Cup, then watching the team Monk throws out against Everton.... we lost a lot of respect in that 5th round FA Cup game .. Could be wrong Neath but I dont think so , how would you feel if you were Bony watching a board behaving in such an amateur way at the highest levels of football .I feel a lot of players feel this way , everyone is susceptible to an offer it seems .Within hours of Laudrups sacking I said there will be an exodus and I took a bit of grief over it .... anyone could see it coming ... if they really looked
There has not been a mass exodus. Every manager has his own view of players and when a new manager takes over some players leave and some come in. Ben and who can blame him wanted to go to a bigger club with greater potential and for higher wages. Vorm is undecided but will probably go. The rest were deemed surplus to requirements and others have and will come in to replace them. I would not like Bony to go but remember Gomis was our original target last season.
From what I have found out it depends whether it is an automatic release clause or a 'good faith' release clause as in th e case with Luis Suarez last season. The two are quite different. With an automatic release clause, player âyâ must be allowed to speak to purchasing club âxâ if the minimum release amount is offered. A âgood faithâ clause means the parties are required to negotiate in good faith once a bid has been made. Importantly, a good faith clause does not automatically trigger the selling club to accept the offer.
Makes sense but how can you prove his agent leaked ? We all know what goes on in football with whispers etc. and another reason for having an agent is so they can be the third party not held to contract. If an associate agent was to say " i heard that if you put a bid in of over 19m quid bony is able to talk to clubs, just what i heard mind.." then any agents name stipulated,if that was the case, is not culpable on that contract, if he isnt named and party to the agreement officially . I could talk to bony s agent in a pub and he could tell me something and i could pass it on to Liverpool, There Are so many ways around anything written on a contract, it cant close off all information . Gary Neville was known for tapping up players on England duty, everyone talks and details leak out. We use exactly the same method as any other club, we Get approached by agents who say player X is availible at 5m would you be interested? That player has a contract and Even though he can not move until his club is approached officially and boss lodged all the leg work has already been done, including what the expected salary would be . All cloak and dagger Stuff and a mine field for sure ! But really, contracts Arnt worth the paper they Are written most of the time,if a player wants out There is a million different ways he and his agent can go about it.
I wonder if the clause exists at all. Why did Liverpool make a derogatory offer of £12.5 million if they 'knew' the realise clause was £19 million and is Spurs wanted him why not just stump up the money and trigger the clause?
Looks like he's definitely gone! http://worldsoccertalk.com/2014/07/22/ben-davies-spotted-training-with-tottenham-hotspur-photos/
I agree with this, and that is why I see the deal and cash for Siggy good business, and we had already replaced Vorm before the World cup kicked off in my view. As for Bony, I do not see him going, he is the one player we will hold onto no matter what!..............
Chambers (19) sold from Suton to Arsenal at £16 mill. If the swapdeal with no money is true, then Huw got us a lousy price for Ben Davies.... http://allarsenal.com/news/official-calum-chambers-signs-for-arsenal/?
Southampton have loaned Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea. This leaves Brendan with 2 left-back options from those he's been linked to. - Moreno at Sevilla - Rodriguez at Wolfsburg I wonder how much he will end up paying?
