Another storming game from the mighty atom today. He is a vital part of the team, and was everywhere, always fighting for the ball, always making himself available. The number of headers he wins is ridiculous. A real little terrier.

I thought Reeves tried hard yesterday but it can’t be easy when you look up for a forward outlet and you see three mannequins in front of you. It got a bit better for him when Fosu came on to give him an outlet. Bowyer’s tactics are fundamentally flawed though because the idea of building up slowly (very slowly ....) from back means that Reeves often gets fed an underhit or overhit rocket launcher of a “pass” from the Gerson & Beckenbauer of League One playing in our central defence.

Go 4-4-2 for the last four games...stop fannying around and get the ball forward quickly to Mavidi & Magennis (carthorse) up top.

Sad to say it, but in the last couple of games Ben Reeves has gone back to being Ben Reeves. Horribly ineffective - I have lost count of the number of times he has needlessly turned back into trouble, or given the ball away. I suppose a lack of consistency is one reason why these are League 1 players...it’s disappointing in Reeves’ case because for a few games he gave us a glimpse of what he is capable of.
