"and essentially we are starting from scrap"

He got that bit right though.

Clotterells choice "start from scrap" or with a team in Europe, big stadium, full squad, and 4 years of parachute payments with no CVA restirctions? Yes, it all makes sense now,Pompey are a "better prospect".

Wow !! The "inside" knowledge of some of our 'guests' from down the road is quite remarkable.

"Clotterell" eh ? - well, I'd rather have Steve C as manager than that clown Adkins/Atkins/Atkinson, or whatever his name is. A jumped up ex-physio whose vocabulary is full of poxy oneliners taken from a kiddies comic, and even worse, left S****horpe in such a poor state when he "left the sinking ship" they got relegated ! He must be so proud...........:bandit:

Scunthorpe were way out of their league playing in the Championship. Relegation was always going to be likely. Everybody knows this but you, apparently.

If he was as good a manager as he makes out Pieking, he would have stayed loyal to them, remained there and kept them up, instead of deserting them at the first opportunity.

Perhaps he didn't have enough faith in his own ability ? :emoticon-0112-wonde

How? At Birmingham the board & fans will expect instant success. Obviously a very exciting prospect for Mcleish to resign? O and a big stadium doesn't make a big club btw. Thought you of all clubs would know that......

When a club as big as ours comes calling not many managers at such a small club would refuse the offer.

Loyalty and blind loyalty are two very different things. One is stupid, the other isn't.
