Anybody else notice that Ben Arfa draws defenders away from Cabaye? Cabaye has been reasonably well covered this season in the outside of the box area, possibly since the Villa game when he truly showed what he can do from that area, but the last few matches when Ben Arfa has played he has drawn defenders toward him and left Cabaye in mountains of space just outside the area. It's how he ended up with his goal against Wigan too.

Yep, part of what I was saying. Pardew said Cabaye had been man marked in a couple of games recently but you can see when Ben Arfa comes on they switch their focus to him.

Another aspect is when him and Jonas double up on a full back (triple up with Raylor sometimes) and he has no chance. Ball will always come into the box when they do that.

Ben Arfa came on 2-1 down against Spurs and it finished 2-2 Ben Arfa came on at 0-0 Against Wigan and we won 1-0, we played alot more football in the opponents half, Tempo was quicker and created alot more when Ben Arfa came on, I think he has already contributed without assisting or scoring.

This x 1,000,000
He'll be mega once match fit and sharp

Sorry yeah, I was typing mine out when you posted yours, we had the exact same point. Also noticed him and Jonas against Wigan, two fancy footers working together is pretty intimidating for any fullback really.

Top top player.
I wouldn't even say he was ball greedy. He's got the ability to take people on
and he does so with ease. Trust me that's not a bad trait to have.
Granted he will be frustrating at times but he is still adapting to the English game.
He's only played a handful of games and will only get better.

There will be times where he is ball greedy, but there will also be times where he crosses for somebody or passes to somebody.

If he plays every game from now until the end of the season he will probably get 8-12 goals and probably the same amount of assists

I personally think he's still trying to show what he can do. He's still not strung 3 games in a run together for the club so he's looking to make an impact every time he comes off the bench. When he's played 5-6 games is the point where I'm going to decide whether he's too ballgreedy or not.

It'll get better as he eases back in but it is part of his game at the end of the day. You have to accept the rough with the smooth with those types of players. I'm not suggesting he is this good, but Cristiano Ronaldo was the greediest player ever when he joined Man U (still is to a certain extent). You have to accept that at times they will frustrate the **** out of you because they are game changers and game winners. Those two things are priceless in football. I think Benny can be that guy for us.

1.21 mins on the vid colos skill what a man

Always gets me that one <laugh> It's like Ben Arfa influenced Colo into showing his skills!

The one that always has me shouting PASS PASS PASS in my mind is the run at like 2.16 <laugh>

Doesn't matter like, just shows what he's capable of when he IS ball greedy. And if he's skinning players all the time I'm not too fussed...
