The fact is he's just ok and not going to keep up his tally, however I'd not drop anyone until we lose or look like losing.

Fair enough. He's just not my cup of tea. Clearly I'm in the minority, but Best frustrates me every time I see him play.

But hey, that's what these forums are for, right?! It's good to hear different opinions.

Back to the OP. Who do you think should makeway for Ben Arfa, when he eventually gets a start?

I'm not a huge fan of Best I just felt that was the reason he missed his chances yesterday for that reason.

For me though when Benny earns his place he should replace either Obertan, Jonas, Ba or Best depending whose worst on form. If I had to put him in the squad this weekend I'd drop Obertan for him.

I honestly dont know who should lose their place for Benny, IMO none of them deserve to. When he's fully fit I think we should just regularly rotate the front 4 like all the other Champions League sides do <whistle>

Yeah, I'd agree on that. Definitely the player who's form has dipped, should be the one to be dropped.

As has been said already, hopefully Ben Arfa will be kept out for some time now. Which means Pardew will have plenty of selection dilemmas. ;)

It just wasnt Best's day yesterday, and it was Ba's. His finishing was off, but 2 of the shots were on his left foot and another he hit first time from 18 yards out, it did look like he was trying to get another goal of the month though! I fancy him to score against Wolves now, he thrives in the face of adversity.

Only a fool would seperate Ba and Best at the moment.

I agree. It's a big risk breaking up something which is working so well.

Imo, until someone stands out who needs to be replaced, we should just keep introducing Ben arfa shortly into the second half for the poorer performing striker on the day.

IMO we'll bring him on for short spells here and there, as it'll take him a month or two to be firing on all cylinders, and pardew doesnt need to rush him

He's bound to be very impatient though, this will take some good man-management.

I think he's just going to have to be patient.

You really shouldn't change a winning team unless you're forced to and I think HBA will be a great impact player until he can dislodge someone from the current 11.
