    No matter where Gyan has been, he's always been a 1 in 3 striker. Literally every club bar his very first one. Last season in Sunderland was no exception.

    Sunderland have an OK forward line, but it's far less stronger than it was with Bent. They haven't replaced him adequately at all. They may have in Wickham, but until he develops, they basically have Gyan and Ji-Dong, who is some young lad from the asian K League.

    If Wickham and Ji-Dong develop fast, they'll be in a strong position. However, if they don't, they'll be relying on Gyan alone, and if he gets injured or goes to the ACN, they're up **** creek once again.
