Why are you ignoring my comments of move Raylor into midfield, put Santon in at Left back?

And it may not set the world on fire having Santon make a 15 minute cameo........but it doesnt harm him in anyway whatsoever.

Why mess the squad up THAT much? Just to give a player a cameo appearance. If anything Santon should come on for Simmo, he's a RB after all.

At that point, we needed some sort of game changer. We lacked it, of course. But bringing on a defender is pointless!

Best defence in England, Santon is a defender. Why change it just because he's got a good reputation? You're a moron.

We all seem to be disagreeing with him, so given his "my opinion is a set in stone fact" logic, obviously that means we're all insane.

 

It's not that. It's the moment, it's what's going on in the game. You bring on a player according to how the game is going, or if you're resting key players. Bringing on a player just because he looks like he could be decent when he's hardly played yet for us even in his natural position, when it doesn't benefit the game at all is pointless!

Perch can actually play in CM, Santon cannot. Raylor wants to nail down one position, as does Santon. To play Santon for 10 minutes out of position will hinder any progress, much like how his career at Inter came to an end.

 

Rob Elliot needs game time too, should've come on for Ben Arfa.

Sorry Jan2011 clique .......I'm with NufcBano here.........playing Santon against the best is simply what we need to do. For however many minutes. In my opinion Nasri had a quiet game and apart from 2 soft penalties we were not taken apart like ManU were. Santon could have strolled 20 minutes.

Gosling used to be full back and Perch used to be a donkey ( sorry still is) and they get run ons. Santon was signed to play. Qusetion is, is he fit enough for the 20 mins? If he isn't he shouldn't even be on the bench.

 

This is what we're disagreeing with. He only changed his mind about midfield a post or two ago when he saw everybody disagreeing with that quote there ^.

 

Yeah, but we were brining off Cabaye to rest him for the next game. Playing Santon totally out of position just 'cause he needs minutes is pointless.

It seems we signed Santon not to play him. Thats the most expensive reserve player ive ever seen.

The only reason Skalpel I changed my view on where to play him was to compromise with you all. Not to change my view in general.

You lot obviously totally underestimate Santons ability to an alarming level.

He can play in midfield quite comfortably. Especially as comfortably as Perch/Gosling.

 

I was thinking he should have replaced Raylor whose confidence was shattered. I share your views about midfield.
