Yep but Saylor was off the field getting treatment for his bleeding nose ... So he had to play in an unfamiliar position which lead to the goal ...

 

The penalty incident did a lovely job proving my point about not using Ben Arfa on the wing in a 4-4-2 though, keep him where he is

Agreed. He's defintely not a winger, and all his good play comes from the center.

Two of his central runs lead to him setting up that good chance for Ba, and him skinning the Citeh defense and almost scoring.

He's better behind the striker in the CF role.

 

He tried to pull him backwards, so for Richards to then fall forwards tells me it was a dive.

 

Think the ref had to give it to be honest. Although Richards is a unit and went down very easily.

 

True it had to be given, I just dont like the diving culture in football these days, a footballer will be hit full whack by a ball in the face and not even react then a slight nudge from an opposing player and he's down like a ton of bricks.

 

definite pen, HBA made substantial contact without being anywhere near the ball. Richards could have stayed up though, he could probably stay on his feet if he was hit by a bus

 

Didn't look much like a dive to me either - when you're running like that, even the smallest touch can send you off balance. The limp as he walked away was unneccessary, though.

 

Ha. Nice to see you assume he would have been slaughtered. Because he isnt match fit. So playing time would aid that....but yet you think it wouldnt have helped....but yet if he starts the next game he'd be fine....even though he hasn't played....but apparently playing time doesn't help....

Their is some crazy logic in their that I don't understand.

20 mins of Premier League action against the top team wouldn't have harmed him in anyway whatsoever. End of.

On the Micah Richards penalty it was clear that he put the brakes on intending HBA to run into him, seeing as he couldnt possibly stop. Then threw himself to floor.

Very clever play. Its a form of cheating, but you still cant not give it as a penalty.

Their was nothing HBA could have done....except not bother to get back which he would have been slaughtered for.

If Man Citeh had to rely on us gifting them 2 pens and a goal...says a lot about us. If only Ba and HBA and slotted their chances home.....never mind.

That video I found is a decent watch, nice to see them pre game. Plenty of cross club friendships as well, Vuckic & Dzeko; Cabaye, Nasri & Ben Arfa; Santon & Balotelli; Ba & the Toure brothers; loads of the English players from either side, and de Jong and Ben Arfa have a little talk as well.
