Every cloud, at least he will still be here to be utilised by a proper manager next season. It’s really **** for the lad but it might actually work out well for the club.
Nothing to do with double sessions or overwork or bad luck, it was that **** leftback at Oxford who nobbled him.
Yeah, it’s ****ing shocking that in both cases, they’ve done their ACL, physios have come on and said they can try to continue.
I had to comment. The level of bed wetting in midweek reached new levels but now this latest news has the usual fannies going into meltdown.
I know you're used to seasons descending into disaster Vern, being an FC fan, but it's something most of us aren't used to in recent times and want to avoid. And unfortunately we CAN go down, unlike the farce that is RL
Yeah, ACL’s can go due to awkward foot planting. Studs get caught in the turf and the knee twists horribly. Muscle injuries like hamstring and calf tears are more suggestive of being overworked and overtrained. We had loads of them in the 22/23 season with Tetteh, Sayyadmanesh, Sinik and others having recurring muscle injuries. There’s been a lot of ACL tears in recent years which some might say is more than usual. Could be due to how modern boots and studs are made. Hard to tell. Real Madrid had Courtois, Alaba and Militão all out with ACLs at the same time last season.
Baloumi wasn't assessed, he didn't have the physios on at first as he indicated he was Ok, they came on when he came off.
Fatigue is known to be a risk factor linked to ACL injuries, as well as muscle ones. There are countless easily viewable studies confirming this.
