I heard the one about the wages for Sierra Leone, however i cannot see that being true, due to the fact, how would he pay for it when he retires and has no wages coming in. There are many red herrings wrt Craig and the transfer rumours that surround hime.

Yes but the comment came from him, it's not just media speculation.

It was in an interview at the start of the summer, when asked about how likely he was to return.

I don't particularly care about any of the **** that surrounds the transfer, I just want our Craig back :(

Luke, I suggested that the Malasians fund his academy some time ago, besides the tax write off it is good publiclty. Prophet said he was going to write to some folks about it but didn't expect a reply. I dunno if he has one yet, but to dull little me it's a no-brainer.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere, but didn't have the time or the inclination to dig through literally hundreds of posts on the topic.

I think it's a good idea too <ok>

Seems we may increase the loan money offered by 5K up to 35K in the hope that Man City might find this more palatable.
I don't expect anything on this untill the wondow has closed TBH, no rush.

bells wont take a massive pay cut so cardiff have no chance, if bellamy really wanted to come then he would take a pay cut....man city can afford to let him rot in the reserves.....

Another titbit on the Swans is that when they signed David Cotterill they paid him £9k pw but in his contract he had a clause that if Swansea got promoted last season his wage would double. That is a lot of money, £18k pw, for a player they loaned out last season as he was not deemed good enough for their team. AAMB

And you want to preach to us about good housekeeping.

And you know this do you?

I assume you have spoken to him personally to get this information?

Or could it be possible you don't actually have any idea what is going on and you're talking out of your arse?

I know which one I think it is...

Also, I would like to see where swansea were mentioned in this thread. After all, don't you boys only post on threads concerning yourselves?

I heard somewhere (can't provide a source, because I can't remember where <doh>) that Craig relies on his wages to keep his foundation running in Sierra Leone.

I have heard exactly the same thing, I think it has even been stated in the media. This is one of the reasons I dont think this will happen.

Sierra Leone???? Bloody hell, doesn't he think Welsh kids need help? Trust me, they do. The FAW is pants.

You got lucky with him last season, paying only 1/3 of his wages. A player who scored the best goal of the season at the Liberty (by an away player anyway) and who was playing a level below his ability all season. All very well coming back to your hometown Club but having looked at your signings he may well feel there's nothing he can do for you.

That is the best goal you will have seen at home, by any player.

It will probably be the best goal you will EVER see at the library.

Bellamy has already said he would be prepared to take a pay cut to play for his hometown club.

XSnaggle, I e mailed the outline of "my" idea (lots of people had a similar idea) to the club, I had a standard "Thank you for your E mail" response, what the e mail basically said was that "the club welcomed innovative and constructive ideas from supporters, and whilst the club endeavoured to check every item of correspondence, the sheer volume sometimes made a personalised reply impossible."

But who knows <ok>
