Yes, a rehash it is.
The games afoot and has been for some time.
Nothing will be sorted on this till after the window closes or as it closes perhaps.
One to watch.

Bellamy is doing what he can to try to make the move to us but right now for some reason Man City are trying to bluff the players they need to offload to force them to take loans to clubs who pay all their wages. Not one club can afford to pay what Man City gives players and we have to wait till they see how many players they got sitting in the stands on matchdays.

I am sure Mancini will love having Bellamy sitting in his suit a few rows up from him.

It is a bind but if he can`t make the deal happen we have to support him if he decides to move to Spurs for a season.

When do the Prem clubs have to nominate their 25? Surely the minds of the financial people at Man City will be exercised then with Bellers, Adebayor, Bridge and others not included. Even the richest must be mindful of the money they will be wasting particularly if Tevez doesn't leave and won't play and they dish out another £40m on Aguero. They didn't get where they are today by bunging £1/2m+ a week down the crapper.

That will be the time that deals are done with the power passing to the clubs looking to take on the surplus players. Will that work for us again I don't know with Villa, Spurs and possibly Feyenord interested in Bellers. Might even see West Ham come into play if Gold and Sullivan are given arm extensions to get deep into their pockets.

LOL

Bellamy has more chance of flying into space than playing for West Ham against us.

If Bellamy can hold on till Sept 1st. and refuses to go on loan then Man City will have to pay all his wages and cannot sell him at the end of the season so they may as well pay what they owe him and let him go on a free.

That would seem the best deal for everyone.

Would love this to be true but I cant see it happening, having said that I guaranteed people last year that we wouldnt get Bellamy so what do I know?

It's been mooted for a few weeks. It may be after the start of the season, but the longer it goes on, the more likely he is to end up with us.

A Mexican Stand Off, Chicken, Russian Roulette, whatever you want to call it, I'm on Man City blinking first. A stuborn old so and so is Bellamy!

Mancini has said that he won't stand in the way of Tevez of moving because he wants to leave the country to be closer to his family, yet Bellamy has to stay and see out his contract whether he plays or not.

For what it's worth, I think that there is a possibility we could buy Craig outright before the season starts.

We have managed to bring in a lot of decent players on a free/next to nothing transfer which can only be a positive thing, freeing up transfer funds for a possible swoop. I hope this is the case.

Agreed.^^^^^^^^^^^

If figures count for anything, it would make sense for Man City to sell him to a Champ outfit for anything around £2M - and let's face it, the only Champ outfit that Craig would play for is us.

They've indicated that they won't let him go to another Prem club, so on his contracted terms, he's going to cost them well over another £3M in wages to sit it out up until June next year when he can walk.

If they got around the £2M mark from us, the effect would be to put it pretty close to the original £6M they were after.

The only question then would be, what terms would Craig look for in a contract (3 years?) with us. <yikes>

I heard somewhere (can't provide a source, because I can't remember where <doh>) that Craig relies on his wages to keep his foundation running in Sierra Leone. This being the case, we would need to match as closely as we could the terms of his Man City contract. Unfortunately, this is not financially viable.

What could be possible, however, would be that the club could make donations directly to the charity every month, in lieu of Craigs wages. With the tax write off and all the other positives, this may indeed be possible.

That said, I don't care how it's done, I just want Craig back! And if we can still leave the title of "Admin Kings" to the inbreds, that would be a bonus.
