I did think, probably more than you - let me explain.
Malky might know about Bellamy's work ethic from his very early days. What he does not know about, because he wasn't here, is Bellamy's work ethic while he was at City. He was, at times, like a man possessed. I went to the Reading Play off Semi (First leg) the reason why he couldn't play in the second leg is that for the first fifteen minutes of that game he chased every lost cause and harried every defender at sprint speed. It was quite alarming (ask anybody who was there). His heart was so much in the job he attempted to win that game on his own. Generally, the example he set to the team was amazing. Unless Malky was at that game, and saw what he brought to us (not Norwich or Coventry or Liverpool) I don't think he will have a full understanding of Bellamy's work ethic for US!

No disrespect, but surely of the club is interested, then Malky will have done his research on the player and no what he has to offer? I'm pretty sure he doesn't just say "the fans want him so we'll go for it". If we are serious he will have looked at his recent history and listened to what others at the club at the time have had to say.
