WALES star Craig Bellamy is on the brink of a stunning move back to Liverpool - a transfer which would spell the end of any hope of him returning to Cardiff City. It is understood the shock transfer will go through if Bellamy can agree a compensation package to leave Manchester City. Anfield boss Kenny Dalglish wants Bellamy to link with strikers Andy Carroll and Luiz Suarez in his bid to return Liverpool to their former trophy-winning ways. Behind the scenes negotiations are believed to have taken place after Man City boss Roberto Mancini ostracised Bellamy from his first-team plans at Eastlands. But we understand Dalglish will only sign Bellamy on a free transfer and the stumbling block surrounds his pay-off from Manchester City. Bellamy reportedly earns £95,000 a week and still has two years left to run on his current deal, meaning he could run down his contract and still net millions. Bellamy has been flattered by Dalglish’s interest in him and is ready to seize the unexpected opportunity to return to Liverpool, the club he supported when he was growing up. Dalglish could be ready to offload Dirk Kuyt to Inter Milan and David Ngog to Bolton, freeing up a space on the right in his team for Bellamy. It would be a dream Anfield return for Bellamy to a club where he became a fans’ favourite during the 2006-07 season, but had to then leave after hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons with the Jon Arne Riise golf club incident. Bellamy was sold to West Ham for £7.5m after 27 appearances and seven goals for the Reds. He scored in the Uefa Champions League clash against Barcelona in the Nou Camp and set up Riise’s winner in that game and was an unused substitute in the 2007 final defeat by AC Milan. Liverpool sources say Dalglish believes Bellamy can give his team a cutting edge in their tilt at the Premier League title this season. But he is adamant he won’t pay a transfer fee for Bellamy, which means some hard bargaining is taking place behind the scenes before the move can be rubber-stamped. The Wales international has been frozen out completely by Mancini at Eastlands, with Cardiff, Celtic, Stoke and Bolton amongst the clubs linked with his signature in the current transfer window. Bellamy has made it abundantly clear he doesn’t wish to play for any other club in the English system other than his hometown Bluebirds, whom he skippered to the Championship play-offs last season. But Liverpool’s sudden interest has whetted Bellamy’s appetite for a Premier League return and he is adamant he can make his mark under Dalglish

You mean this is so unrealistic he played for us last year you daft ****, now why dont you **** off you straw chewing twat. Why these Wurzels are on here WUMMING considering how ****e they are is beyond me.
Let him have his moment, it doesn't look his team is going to give him much to shout about this year, so wumming better teams about whether or not they will sign top class players is about as good as it's going to get this year for the wurzels. As others have said, who could imagine CB dropping a division and playing for CCFC..........
Until Bellamy makes a statement I am not sure anyone knows what will happen, a few clubs including Celtic have tried to do a deal. One thing is certain he will not let Man City off the hook unless he gets what they owe him, why should he. Another thing other clubs do not realise is that we wish Craig the very best where ever he plays this season.
Another thought being if it is a deal not a loan they cannot stop Liverpool playing him against them, one of their rivals for a top four finish? Not very clever is it but then the way they handle players is not very clever either.
