We lack quality in three or four positions and it was one of those games where the minnows had lady luck with them. Good effort all the same but we rode our luck well that won't happen again if we played them again with the same team...

There's an element of good luck in every game - I tend to think that you make your own luck or shape it by the way you go about business. We have the horsepower to win this group with all players being available, which we will need because our squad is not has deep or experienced across the board as those of say Belgium. But, given their best against our best, we can craft and graft a result.

 

We are 3 or 4 players minimum short on quality. without bale we would have not had a realistic chance at goal. His superior quality alone won't get us anywhere.

 

When we have a fully fit 11 on the pitch Dai, we are now a decent team. The days of being thumped and going down with a whimper are a thing of the past now.

 

We are a better team when we have a full squad but far from brilliant. We just dont have the quality there to really be competitive with the really big teams. Yes we will get the odd result and we can beat the smaller teams but in reality we just dont have enough quality in the side to beat the bigger sides. This is not a slur on wales but a reality check on how good we are. we got lucky yesterday as Belgium were all over us and should have been 2-0 up but they never took their chances and there is nothing worse than reading in the papers how good we were when we were on the back foot for most of the game. It was a good effort with what we have got but nowhere near the standard to compete in a European competition for real...

So we're not only going to qualify but we're going to win Euro 2016.

We do valley and I hope that winning a few games and getting a few results will make sure that our better players actually want to turn up and play for wales, unlike things that have gone on in the past.
