Seems like backtracking to me. He said Pickford was too busy throwing his legs in the air. Not sure how that isn't mocking as he now says. Yes, I resurrected the wrong name. After executing the nutmegs, Jesus took a dive. Kompany retracted both his legs out of the tackle as the ball was clearly going out irretrievably and Jesus continued his dive. No pen was the right decision. Good call ref. VAR team backed the ref up. IMO.
Glad Brazil are out. But Belgium well a truely rode their luck. On another day that could have been 4 or 5-2 to Brazil. Coutios excellent and Brazil very wasteful
It was clearly a foul, nobody (other than you) is claiming it was not given because it was a dive. They apparently didn’t give it because the ball was already going out of play when the foul was committed, but the ball hadn’t gone out when the foul was committed, so should have been given.
