Just have to compare it to our previous two summer windows. There are still criticisms, but just purely going by players sold and signed, it hasn't been bad.
Charles-Cook has joined Woking on loan until January. We will be able to hold our team talks in a phone box soon at this rate.
It had potential to ne a very good window indeed. It just needed a bit of decent reinforcement up front, and a keeper to get our young hopefull out on loan to play some games. But as with every transfer window, the over riding concern was book balancing, and we have left the front line horribly exposed. Ee now have to get through to january before we have a chance to reinforce. And that will still involve parting with cash so I expect more of the same after christmas. We seem to have genuine talent atound the squad. Holmes, Reeves and Bauer will no doubt chip in with a few. Shame the ambition is so resolutely focused on saving money.
I'm with Chrissy on this one. If we had a new board take over from the end of last season and the players in/outs had been conducted like this we may be less scathing. I would like to say that at no time am I standing up for the pricks and they are still a bunch of c****!
I wouldn't disagree with any of that, the problem is that you need 16-18 players to get out of this league and we have 12-14. I have no doubt that Meire has absolutely zero influence on Duchatelet- at least when it comes to football. Robinson will have been telling her for at least 3 months that we are short of key players and urgently needed a striker - even then she couldn't bring herself to call the Organ Grinder & we had to shift Novak & Crofts out to get a kid on loan with a patchy record. Peeters, Luzon, Powell, Riga and to a lesser extent Robinson have all gone public on what the issues are - in short this Club will never recover whilst we have an owner who prizes the balance sheet miles ahead of the score sheet.
