I watched it and found it enjoyable.I found the use of American sporting phrases funny e.g. rosta rather than squad and practice ground rather than training ground.

Who else has continued to watch this.
Episode 5 was on Friday, nice to see Rodgers talk to Shelvey about being a first team regular this season.
One thing I can't stand though, is how much Rodgers says "ok".

I hoped he'd say more Northern Irish stuff. He is from a pretty out of the way place though, full of chavs and culchies. The place he's from is NEAR to the worst town in existence (Larne).

I still cannot get the reasons 1) why this documentary has been done and 2) why it is being braodcast now in the middle of the season.

There is nothing wrong and sometimes nice for the fans to see some of the internal workings of their club. But to see BR (warts and all) in his dealing with the players is not necessarily that productive for the team at this point in time. I remember that documentary following Graham Taylor as manager of England and his weird mannerisms, his constant swearing and the yes men assistants who repeated his every word and saying "yes boss" many times and didn't say anything constructive. My opinion of him changed after that. I see him as someone who got lucky in his club career and promoted above his competence level as England manager.

I am not saying BR is the same but sometmes it is not such a bad thing to keep a little bit of the mystique.

It's not something that Liverpool wrote and created, it's a show in the states that they did on a load of American Football / Baseball teams, and now are looking to do soccer ones. My understanding is that they will do other clubs too, just that Liverpool is the first one they've done. So I guess the answer to point 1 is to expand USA fan base, and point 2 is because this is when it's being shown in the USA, if it was shown during the off-season (as they would say) then any slight interest in actually seeing the club play would be instantly negated by not being able to.

    That's a coincidence because that's how I see Rodgers.

  10. Thats the series complete. I don't think it was damaging to the club at all but least we can concentrate on the season now <ok>
