I'm a businessman and I'm generous. Allam gave money to a Hospital and he's a businessman. Andrew Carnegie was a businessman et cetra.

You can put "SIMPLE" in capitals it doesn't make you right. In fact I think we've all pretty much worked out to whom the word SIMPLE is most accurately applied.

FattyNoChops, what ****ing planet are you from?
Assem Allam had no intention of becoming the owner of the club. He stepped up to the plate after the local businessmen who showed interest in saving the club, all fell by the wayside after seeing the state of the accounts.
If the amount had not been as high as he ended up paying, we the supporters would now be major shareholders in the club.
Hull City was not saved by a businessman as an investor. It was saved by a family man, who was driven from his country. A man who wishes to give back to the community, that accepted him.
If you know business then you would know that the returns on 54m that was put into the club plus the 8m loss this season, will be hard to find. As an investment Hull City is one of the worse business decisions anyone could ever make. As a gesture it ranks as one of the greatest single finical acts ever seen in the region.

You may also wish to know that most major charities are businesses.

Indeed we will see. Unless of course they see potential for further profit (Cunning Foreign Jonnies some of those businessmen).

    As compared to you?

If you are a better businessman, and have that sort of money why don't you buy the Allams shares (I'm sure you'll nallow them a profit so you can proove your point on here).

Or of course maybe Al Fayed isn't doing it for profit.

What most people are trying to point out to you is that you have no grounds as yet to make an educated decision on their intentions, and until such time as there is concrete evidence to back up your conspiracy theory, you have to take what evidence you have. As Mel U pointed out, as it stands at the moment as a business investment it is a financial non starter, and as they have stated it was a present to the community of Hull. Until such time as there is any evidence to prove other wise, it is folly to say anything different.

I'm happy that the situation is being monitored by such an astute businessman as yourself.

If I change my stance and become one of your acolytes will I stop being a sheep, or will I just be a different sheep because I'm following you?

Please help me decide oh Mighty Prophet!

But from what you have already said you have made your stance, which is just my point, you have doubts, but until something concrete comes up to back up your fears, you cannot take the position you are making.

No, a sheep is a wooly four legged animal (like your girlfriend). And I thought the reason you were on here was to persuade us to share your views? If you would rather we made up our own minds why don't you accept that we have, we disagree with you, and think you are deluded.

Sorry, but are now 6 pages of posts explaining to you how wrong you are. If you haven't got it by now, then you never will and the time is well past where I should stop wasting my time with you.

Can I ask you if it's all businessmen you distrust or just "greedy egyptian(s)" (sic)?

In other words is your paranoia based on an irrational hatred of all businessmen or a more basic prejudice on the grounds of Race?

Nothing personal, I just like to know what sort of bigot I'm dealing with.

Ignoring the obvious question based on many of their posts as to which Club pattynchips actually follows, I think business men are better a better option than say lollypopmen or flower pot men.

fair play for getting so many replies with such feeble bait though.
