Some season that was Dave! Terrific memories. I only remember the 4-1 so vividly as I went to that one. Howson equalised and made them angry!
Mr Pragmatic, cagey Hughton whooped their ass 1 - 0 during that unbeaten run he had and Steve Morison scored the equaliser (shhhhh!!) in a 3 - 3 draw at their ground. All is not lost, I tell you - though the bookies odds will doubtless suggest I'm deranged
I'm with you, Arsenal are no differnet to the majority of teams in so far as they will almost certainly field a second string side. Their second string side is going to be rather good, but if we go with a strong side as in previous rounds and with a positive attitude to progress, it's not inconceivable that we could pinch a result. If they're overly generous with their odds, I might have a cheeky punt on us beating them. A lot of our players will enjoy the prospect of putting themselves in the shop window, if you're Trybull with a 1 year contact, you would be very eager to impress. Bah!
We play 1p5wich on Sunday before this game, so let's hope none of our players get crocked in that game. I'm sure we'll field quite a strong side, as DF has in previous rounds.
Excellent article from a guest blogger on today's MFW by a fan who was at Griffin Park on Tuesday - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...have-soared-as-we-all-adapt-to-our-farkelife/
You managed to talk this up! http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...5203202?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=dlvr.it
I thought the article was a little thin on details and not up to the usual high standard on MFW. More a long comment than a full meaty article. That said he did take the plunge and do it, so fair play to him. Bah!
At least we have an option on a second season, if he continues in his current vein, I'd be hopeing Mr Webber gets him signed up to an improved 4 year deal before the vultures start to circle. it's early days yet, lets see if that form is still there in another 5 matches and if it is, give him the sort of we're building a side around you contract. Bah!
I'd be curious if he'd take it. He ran his contract down at his last club so he could move somewhere where he's in the shop window. If he continues to impress, would he want to tie himself down?
He has said he'd like to stop club hoping so much, but I doubt that would extend to ignoring a bigger contract at a PL club. Bah!
I remember both the recent games, but the 2-4 win at their place in the opening game of the Premiership was very special indeed. Mark Robins at his best! Anybody have highlights of that one?
