Haa this been tried by any of you other gin gaylords? http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/minerv...ar-on-wheels/story-29701684-detail/story.html
I was Perusing the Gin menu at that very caravan but a week ago. There was a rather excellent looking Gin with prosseco and raspberry on it.. I was almost tempted until i realised It's for big Girls blouses like Dennis and Chazz.
I'm sure I'll be giving it a go. Open yourself up to a world of sophistication Julian. ****ing Julian la di dah
I haven't used it, but it was at Humber St Sesh, and I think Freedom Festival too. My Mother used it at Sesh for a quadruple though!!! (I don't know where I get it from!) Minerva have a great gin menu though and it's their's so I expect it's ok
By the way Gin, prosecco and raspberry was what they had when I looked Sounded foul Maybe it's not for the proper aficionados ?
Ive never tried it before !! I dont really do spirits ( apart from spiced rum ) i get way to drunk. I prefer to sample various ales and the odd cider
Made some good cocktails for the ladies tonight with prosecco though Fresh black cherries, take the stone out (I pushed them out with a chop stick!) Chuck them in a blender with some ice Put the mush in champagne glass (maybe 1/5 of a glass) Add some amaretto (maybe another 1/5 or less) Top up with prosecco Hey presto...cherry bakewell tart cocktail !
I can be a gent and i can also be a right irritating bastard. PS Stella has had a bit of a seeing too.
I thought I'd dredge this thread up in order to announce the Gin, Rum and Vodka festival at Guildhall http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/whats-on/food-drink/theres-huge-gin-vodka-rum-644701.amp All sounds a bit too generic for my liking, surely there are enough proper boozers in the city to spread that into three separate festivals (maybe less so for vodka which is just split into nice and dreadful) , and anyway there's been too many gin festivals IMHO, best to stick to one a year and have other festivals for other spirits I suspect this one is aimed at amateurs trying to get into spirits properly As an aside I have spent the afternoon on Theakstons OP and Guinness West Indies Porter so I could have legitimately put this ramble on the Afternoon Drinking thread...but I've only just thought of that so it's here. Bottoms up
