I lost trust in their brewing at the statement "we couldn't find any beers that we wanted to drink in the UK" if they don't like a number of very fine ales that are produced in this country then their pallet for me is fatally flawed!
I have had a few brewdog drinks and they are like any other brewer, some good some bad but I've tasted nothing from them as yet to rival Ghost ship or an Innes & Gunn.

    Bah!

An easy problem to solve, stop the producers from making god awful p#ss water like Fosters or Coors and use the hops for the greater good in well flavoured decent beers.

    Bah!

Filthy bourgeois craft beers, decimating our hop harvests.

    Nationalise the brewing industry now!

Ofcourse if the heathens that drink fosters start drinking flavoursome beers it could all back fire! Though I reckon alcopops will be their go to.

    Bah!

Fair enough general and whilst I do not agree with their damning sleight of UK beer, you have to applaud them for giving out their recipes. I'll be back in the fair county later this year and Ghost Ship has been mentioned more than once on this site and I look forward to it immensely. Cheers!

Only two good things come out from Suffolk, Adnam's Ales and the few roads to Norfolk! <ok>

Some of the more recent Adnams Ales are superb IMO - especially Ghost Ship and Mosaic. Beware that you only get the 'hand drawn' Mosaic, as the 'gassy' one isn't as nice and they charge nearly £5 a pint!!!!

Go to the Swan in Southwold, the Adnams is fantastic there as is doesn't have to travel far. The Broadside is sensational, foods not to shabby either.

As does the Duke of Wellington on Waterloo Rd in the north of the city. And if nothing floats your boat there, it's a short walk to the Whalebone and/or the Fat Cat Brewery Tap on Sprowston Rd. <ok>

There in lies a problem, usually take my niece with me as she likes driving my car, and she doesn't drink!
Haven't used the Black Horse, but the 'Fat Cat' isn't far away from there I believe, fell out of there a few times!!

Failed to mention that the Adnams brewery is about 50 yards from the back of the Swan, so the beer really doesn't have to travel. Tour the brewery for a tenner, its well worth it, free tasting as well! <cheers>

Yes ILD, I'e been in the Swan in Southwold and agree with your recommendation.
Next time you're in the city - give the Black Horse a try - good selection of ales, spotless toilets and hardly a beard or pair of sandals in sight!!! <laugh> Does very good food too.
OK, the Fat Cat has an unrivalled selection of beers, but they now own the Fat Cat and Canary (aka the Mustard Pot) and not too far from Carrow Road

Maybe meet up either in one or the other to celebrate staying in the PL after we do the double over ManUre!! <rofl>

The problem is that craft beers do not use the same hops as the generic rubbish.
